INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE by Adv. Aires Rodrigues, Ribandar

At the inaugural of the so called International arbitration centre Union Law Minister Dr Veerappa Moily assured those present that Parliament will soon enact a new law to facilitate this centre. Is this not putting the horse before the cart? That the entire state administration stayed away from the function and a general boycott by the legal fraternity bears testimony that Goans will not always be taken for a ride.
The Law department has rightly opined that the government should not have anything to do with this private commercial venture being set up by Ramakant Khalap and company. For the Chief Minister it was yet another display of what he does best, making promises off the cuff. This one contrary to the stand taken by his own officers.
That the Chief Minister was not serious was evident from the fact that he was informally dressed for an International function. Perhaps Mr. Digambar Kamat showed up in his personal capacity like Adv. Surendra Desai who was present but not in his official capacity as the President of the High court Bar Association.

  1. Thank you Adv Rodrigues! Keep up the fight for OUR Goa! We need to attack on all fronts in order to turn things around. We have seen too much destruction of our homeland and our culture. Goa is being violated day and night, just like Remo Fernandes has been saying...'like parents raping and molesting their own children'.

  2. Dear Aires

    good job against khalaps trust.
why dont u file complaint against dhavlikars trust. Dhavilkar through his private trust is funding a terrorist organisation Sanatan Sanstha who planted bombs in goa and in india he is running that maharashtrawadi party. he should be sent to jail.
