NSUI MOVES HC SEEKING CBI PROBE IN POLICE-DRUG PEDDLER NEXUS

PANJIM: Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India has moved the Bombay High Court seeking a CBI probe into the policemen-drug peddler nexus case in Goa.
In a petition filed with the Goa bench here yesterday, NSUI Goa chief Sunil Kawathankar said the case should be handed over to the central investigation agency as the conduct of the police officers probing it was doubtful.
"There's doubt in the integrity of the police officers investigating the case as some of the accused have been released," Kavathankar said in the petition.  The petition would be heard next week.
Seven policemen were arrested last year after Israeli drug lord Yaniv Benaim alias Atala had confessed about his links with the policemen who were allegedly supplying him drugs.
Swedish national and Atala's former girlfriend Lucky Farmhouse had shot the confession with a spycam and upload the video on a social networking site, exposing the policemen-drug peddler nexus in the state.
NSUI earlier had given 48 hours ultimatum to Chief Minister Digambar Kamat to hand over the case to CBI or the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Kamat, however, had claimed he has not received any ultimatum from NSUI, which happens to the frontal students' wing of his party. – PTI

    Well done NSUI.
Mr Digamber Kamat is none other than a Lame duck.
in a literal sense he is Politically lame too.
If Ravi states there are no Drugs in Goa (off and on), then why does not Mr Kamat not pursue his own independent investigation.
I would recomend Mr Kamat to disguise himself (as a hippy), pop over to the beaches of North Goa or Kentuckee Restaurant owned by Matthew Diniz in Colva, and he would see it all first hand.
If Kamat cannot see, hear or smell...then he needs a "medical check-up)
