JOAQUIM ALEMAO SAYS PEOPLE HAVE REPOSED FAITH IN CONGRESS

MARGAO: Urban Development Minister, Joaquim Alemao said that the thumping victory for the Congress-backed candidates in the Civic polls is a vindication of the development and progress done in the urban areas by the Congress government in the state.
Alemao said the Urban Development Ministry in the state has been proactive in initiating various schemes related to development and has focused on creating sound urban infrastructure including creating scientific waste management facilities in all the 14 towns across the state.
He said the state government intends to create revenue generation projects in B and C class municipalities in the state on priority basis. “All these efforts have been aptly supported by the CM Digambar Kamat and hence found endorsements with the electorate, who believe in the secular and progressive political ideology of the Congress led by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi”, he said.
