PANJIM: The Goa children's court on Monday acquitted Aman Bharadwaj of sexually abusing a nine-year-old Russian girl on January 26 this year on Arambol beach. Children's court president PV Sawaikar acquitted the accused of grave sexual assault punishable under Section 8(2) of the Goa Children's Act 2003.
The trial that lasted nine months had proceeded on the victim's and her mother's testimony, and that of accused turned approver Anil Raghuwanshi. The testimonies, however, failed to convince the court. Pernem police had filed a chargesheet against Bharadwaj and Raghuwanshi after completing investigations in the case within 14 days of the incident. (TNN)
Our present post liberation judges are all corrupt, without bribes I do not think this man was acquitted by the judge. The present children court judge is well known to be a corrupt person. The Portuguese time judges would only increase your punishment if the criminal even spoke of crores of of one single pie to be given as bribe to a judge. Those judges were very very strict and morally sound persons.
ReplyDeleteYou will soon hear the news that other Russian rapist is out as an innocent soul. Much before Xmas. Lack of evidence......, was a framed up case......, the witness turned hostile....., etc. etc. Typical Bollywood istyle.
ReplyDeleteHow much did it cost Aman Bharadwaj to be acquitted? There is unwritten code in Indian Courts "money will free you". Goa needs its law enforcers better trained in presenting cases to the courts. Better if Goa breaks away from the central Judicial system. These molesters need to be dealt by the "direct law of Goan citizens"
ReplyDeleteI have only been hearing accquitals.Never any convictions.
ReplyDeleteThere is surely somethingwrong with either the Police or the Judical Syste.
I am begining to feel sorry for John Fernandes as all other serious offenders are free.
Mahnand Naik too has been accquited on several charges.
So now I expect Mickky ,Babush,Vishwajit,Ravi,Roy ,Jose Philip subodh Kantak,Samson ,Placido,Rohit etc will all be accquited.
Goa might as well close down the Prisons too. There are few escapees from there on the run too.
Looks like ....
CRIME PAYS IN GOA.
Just yesterday I had said that I am tired of reading the news on acquittals and there are going to be many more before the year ends. If we dig into all the newspapers from January 1, 2010 till today, it is already a world record of acquittals for Guinness Book. Still 37 days are left for 2010 to end and I wonder how many more acquittals are in store for us to see. Wow! to Gua Pulis and the Judiciary! Long live the criminals..........
