PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party will formulate a national youth policy to safeguard the interests of the youth, which form 71 per cent of the nation’s electorate.
Addressing a press conference, the president if the Nationalist Student’s Congress, Mr Chand Rehman said that the youth forms the backbone of the nation, however, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have ignored the youth over the years and have done nothing for them.
Mr Rehman further said that even the United Progressive Alliance at the Centre, of which NCP is a coalition partner, has not done anything for the youth, even though the Congress general secretary, Mr Rahul Gandhi keeps harping on the youth issue.
Even in the state of Goa the coalition government has done nothing for the youth, he added. He also said that the NCP will prepare a roadmap for the youth with focus on employment for them with the help of state government.
He said that the state wing of the Nationalist Students’ Congress will be visiting colleges to find out the problems of the students in terms of academics, administration and other problems. He said time has come for a change and give the youth a chance to lead the country and NCP has taken a right step in this direction with six young MPs below the age of 40 and will give youth a fare chance to represent the state in Assembly elections which are scheduled in 2012.(NT)
There is no doubt that Mickky Pacheco will soon join this "bandwagon" too.
ReplyDeleteHe will not apply his brains...just his money. He is well known in South Goa to apply "money" and "fists", first, and then his limited brains later.
This is to enhance his damaged criminal reputation.
I hope the NCP Students wing will not give Mickky a platform.
I await Mickkys new party to emerge.Only criminals and crumb eaters need apply
