POLICE CONSTABLE SUSPENDED FOR VISTING CASINO ON DUTY

PANJIM: A constable attached to a police station here was suspended after he skipped duty to visit a casino and allegedly misbehaved with the staff.
Superintendent of Police (North) Arvind Gawas said a departmental inquiry has been initiated against constable Vikram Naik, who visited a casino located on the outskirts of the city, while he was on duty last Sunday.  "Pending inquiry, he is suspended from his duties," Gawas added.
As per the complaint filed by the casino management, Naik misbehaved with the staff and also manhandled them.  "When police were called in, he misbehaved with the personnel too," casino officials said.  Naik was later referred for medical examination, where he was found to be in the inebriated state (TNN)

  1. What a grand example of our police personal while on duty. Vikram Naik should have been sacked instantly rather being suspended for giving police a mad name.

It's just not the police force who frequent these casinos even the politicians like Alexio Sequeira and Mickey Pacheco and the rest not to mention Government Bureaucrats who are known to spend the tax payers money at these Casinos as well as solicit bribes to grant them all the permissions they need.

All sorts of gambling and other social evils are spreading even among the common man in Goa and due to these social addictions we see our families being destroyed, children starving and families in the clutches of debt because many bread-winners have now become addicted to gambling.

    Goa Police are a disgrace.
I do not know anybody that has any respect for them.Ask any Goan about the Police and they will talk about them in the negative.
They are a law onto themselves.
The are like the Politicians...extremely corrupt. They protect themselves more than the Citizens they are recruited to protect.
If a Traffic Policeman was installed in front of the homes of PI`(Police Inspectors), they would confrm that the traffic of "moneybags" in the form of bribes has increased.
Jivba Dalvi of Verna Police Station, is a well known recepient of bribes being delivered to his home.
Speak to any local under the condition of annoynimity and they will confirm this.
an incestigation of his family and benami accounts will confirm this.

  5. N.Fernandes, the worst said about Dalvi is lesser. there are no words to describe this dirty collection bag of the Goa Police. Apart from doing collection for himself, he wors for other officers especially those whom he kneels down everyday. After the incident of accident of of involvement of IGP's & Aleixo's sons, all cases against this dirty dalal were withdrawn in exchange for hiding the case under the carpet. The vehicle was covered in tarpaul before sunrise and all evidence destroyed. When the higerups of police force depends on such dalals, there will never be justice done properly. There may be many corrupt officers in the Goa Police but not anyone as much corrupt as Dalvi.
