On the 25 of November I read and article on the online local daily OHeraldo captioned “Freedom fighters purify sea at Khariwado.” The article mentioned that Freedom fighters along with other volunteers on Thursday last sprinkled holy water on the statue of freedom fighter Dr T B Cunha and collected some water and poured it in Goan sea to ‘purify’ it following the visit of Portuguese ship ‘Sagres’.
It was also further stated that in their speeches they mentioned of how they convinced the Chief Minister not to attend the luncheon that was to be lovingly hosted by the crew of the Sagres.
They also condemned the send off that was organised by the people of Khariwado and called the organisers anti-national (If I understood correctly). What I cannot understand is, in the largest democracy how can the government of India stand by these hard insults against a country which India has great diplomatic relations with and is a strong member of the European Union.
So much talk of Indian progressing and its leaders turn a blind eye on such hard insults on a nation that send its naval ship on a friendly mission? It is a well know fact that the Europeans colonised many nations however many of these nations who want to move forward and not face isolation have out grown the past and in fact are helped by the very same countries that colonised them. If these people boast of so much influence then they should have carried out their so called purification on the corrupt politicians and corrupt officials.
They should voice their concerns on the state of affairs Goa is in after 1961. Its a shame. The people of Khariwado must be recognised as they saved the name of Goans and in a lager way made the nation proud, or else with what face would our flamboyant ministers display when they visit Europe?
These so-called Freedom Fighters, if they have any concience, should purify themselves first and then the corrupt politicians starting from Cowmuth. I hope Cowmuth is happy and proud of himself. Great job people of Khariawado. You made people of Goa proud. Keep it up! Viva Niz Goenkars.
ReplyDeleteIt is a well known fact and dictum in all religions that purification can be done only by a pure man.
ReplyDeleteThe self labeled "Deshpremis Nagrik Samiti" who think evil, talk evil and do evil can only pollute the place. Just like every day scene along the banks of Mandovi river in Panjim people 'purifying' Mandovi.
Sounds and seems like another most stupid of publicity stunts.
ReplyDeleteThey will also have to purify all of Indias land mass as a lot of atrocities have taken place there too,not just today but through the centuries....there were plenty of "BLOOD LETTING".
"These "FAKE FREEDOM FIGHTERS",HAVE A SHORT SIGHTED VIEW OF HISTORY.
Te forget that India as a whole has also been involved in blood letting on its own soil.
Perhaps the Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans should conduct a sort of purification of their seas as India was involved in their wars from Pakistan and Tamils. As the Indians came to assist these countries...so did the Portuguese come initally to rtade...but ended up helping the dynasties of that period.
The next job for these useless bunch of invalids,is to invite themselves to to purify Europe, which was bloodied by the Nazis and where many Indians fought too.
However considering these fake freedom fighting loudmouths have purified the sea at Khariwaddo, it is time we throw them in their "purified" sea.
I think they are purifying the farts they received from the Portuguese and the Khariawaddo Goans. The freedom farters are nothing but pests and a nice pesticide should be used against them. Once sprayed they will like pests conk off from this world.
ReplyDeleteRatol Baba...
ReplyDeleteWhere are you??? Look what Sandesh Gaonkar has to say about the pests. This will be good business for you. Use Ratol and get rid of the pests. It will be good riddance of freedom farters. That's a good one Sandesh.
