TEMPLE THEFT CASE HAS TO BE EXPEDITED: MAPUSA DySP PRESSED HARD

MAPUSA: A delegation of panch members from Saligao, Guirim and Sangolda alongwith BJP activists and temple committee members of Shree Bhumika Sateri temple, Guirim, led by Saligao MLA, Mr Dillip Parulekar and Saligao ZP member, Mr Michael Lobo called on Mapusa DySP, Mr Sammy Tavares and urged him to expedite investigations into the Bhumika Sateri temple burglary case.
The delegation expressed resentment that although one month had passed since the burglary in the Sateri temple at Guirim wherein ` 1.25 lakh worth articles were stolen  the police were yet to nab the culprits. Mr Parulekar urged Mr Tavares to bring the culprits to book as soon as possible and as nothing had happened till date they were forced to come to the police station. However, Mr Tavares informed the delegation that he said that he was regularly monitoring the investigations into all burglaries involving religious places and a special team had been formed to investigate and nab the culprits.(NT)

  1. These Dark Knights and their thieving associates are very fortunate Goa has the best escape routes via the Konkan Railway and now the National Highways. They escape faster than they arrive. Good luck to our law enforcers.
    Policing Goa will never be an easy task, unless Goa reduces the number of Non-Goans in the state
