DIGAMBER KAMAT SILENT OVER LIBRARY JOBS DEMAND BY LOCALS

MARGAO: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat maintained a stoic silence over the demand for jobs for locals in the Dr Francis Luis Gomes district library inaugurated, even as the police tightened security as residents of Ward No 16 assembled outside the library building demanding jobs.
While the Savio-Pratima duo along with their supporters came with banners and placards demanding jobs outside the library building, PWD Minister, Churchill Alemao demanded 50 per cent of jobs in the library for the unemployed youth of Navelim constituency.
However, while everyone expected the Chief Minister to speak out his mind on the demand for jobs, Kamat did not touch the subject at all during his address at the inauguration function.
What further agitated the protestors outside the library building was the fact that the Chief Minister even did not show any courtesy to approach them and hear their grievances. Incidentally, the PWD Minister interacted with the protestors along the road before heading to the library building.
Later briefing newsmen, former MMC Chairperson Savio Coutinho said the Chief Minister has meted step motherly treatment to the youth of ward No 16 as far as employment is concerned. “Our youth have been demanding jobs in the library, but their applications have not been entertained till date. We fail to understand why this step motherly treatment from our local MLA, who is the Chief Minister of the state”, he said.
“We conducted our protest in a peaceful manner, hoping the Chief Minister will hear our grievances, but in vain”, Savio added. His wife Pratima said that it is an insult to the people that the Chief Minster left the venue without even seeking to know their grievances.
The residents carried out banners and placards demanding to know whether they will get any employment in the library and further demanded to know the step motherly treatment meted out to the voters of Ward No 16.
Meanwhile, the police maintained a strict vigil by deploying armed policemen along the road as a precautionary measure.  Relations between the Coutinho’s and the Chief Minister have hit rock bottom after the Municipoal poll with the former accusing Kamat for trying to sabotage Pratima’s prospects in the elections. 1. The present CM cowmuth is struck dumb for words. He knows that all the jobs in the Library are already filled up and allotted to the Ghantis of Monte Hill and to the other chors for their selfish interest and for a prize tag. This has been planned much earlier and a sincere and deserving candidate will never be selected. What guts he has to speak openly about this issue? His silence speaks everything. That is the main reason why our youths are compelled to move out of the State to seek greener pastures to survive and support their families.

  2. 100% jobs for the Goans and not for the vote banks. Goans stand up and be counted.

    To Franco::well said.

Kamat is a wily, stealthy & foxy character.
He is well known to make the most stupid remarks. He then retracts these remarks with his usual.."i have been misunderstood," or " my remarks are taken out of context".
He seems to spend more time in "opening Ceremonies" rather than issues that are important.
Question:what is the biggest issue affecting Goa Kamat has resolved in the month of November?

    Answer:Nothing.

Question:How many Opening ceremonies / innaugurations has Kamat performed in November?

Answer:More than 5o% in 20 days till today.

Question:What is the most relevant statement Kamat has made in November?

    Aswer: Nothing of substance.

Question: Why was Kamat afraid of meeting the Protestors.?

Answer:he has no mouth, and now also, no man- testicles (in common parlance "no balls")

Now coming to Sickly Churchill. Why does he feel 50% jobs in the Library must be given to someone from Navelim. What about other surrounding villages?
Isn`t Churchill`s Trumpet blowing out of tune?

  4. N. Fernandes... Chorchill wouldn't even know what a trumpet looks like. He only knows what a whistle looks like and keeps blowing it. But that too has lost its tone because he doesn't have any lungs left to blow it hard. He just phoophoo's it now but no clear sound comes from it. That's why he is catching cowmuth's tail and running after him as cowmuth keeps on blowing his baritone from behind.
