POLICE CONSTABLE DRIVERS' JOBS FOR SALE IN GOA by Bebdo

Many of the forty-five candidates who have been selected recently to fill in the vacancies for the post of Police Constable Drivers (Grade III) by direct employment have alleged that they are being asked from a minimum of Rs 2 lakhs to a maximum of Rs 5 lakhs to get their appointment letters from the home ministry.
According to reliable sources, the money is allegedly demanded by none other than the Home Minister Ravi Naik and his son Roy.
Most of the candidates who have been selected had paid quite an amount to pass the practical and oral test. The practical test carried 85 marks and the passing was 40 per cent. The oral interview was of 15 marks. In the practical test, the candidates were asked to drive the vehicles and explain the mechanism.
Out of the 45 vacancies for which the applications were received till June 30, 2010, 23 vacancies were reserved for the General Category, 10 for Other Backward Classes, 7 for Scheduled Tribes, 2 for Sportsperson, 1 for Scheduled Castes and 1 for the children of Freedom Fighters. The salary is in the pay band of Rs 5200-20200 and Grade Pay Rs 1900.
One of the selected candidates who requested us not to mention his name stated that he paid 25,000 rupees to a senior police officer just to pass the interview. Now to get his appointment letter, he says he was told to pay Rs2.5 lakhs. “From where will I get the money to bribe the politicians and the police?” he asked. “With much difficulty, I managed to pay 25,000 rupees. But I need the job. The only option is to sell my mother’s mangalsutra and her gold bangles to raise that much amount. Otherwise I will have to go and rob someone,” he said.
A Scheduled Tribe candidate who failed the test was bitter about the entire selection procedure. He said that the tests were just a formality and non-Scheduled Tribe candidates with fake Scheduled Tribe certificates were being appointed for their positions after paying the amount allegedly demanded by the minister and the police.
Our enquires have revealed that the top police officers are allegedly under the instruction of Home Minister Ravi Naik to sell the posts to the highest bidder. The interview process is all a sham and with the exception of a couple of cases the rest of the posts are filled in on the basis of how much one can pay.
This is the sorry state of Goa. No government job comes for free, they are all sold. There is no merit and clean and honest candidates are left in the lurch if they don’t have the money to pay for the jobs.
When will all this corruption stop in Goa? I earnestly request all the supporters of Congress to place their hands on their conscience and feel the guilt of aiding corruption in Goa. By electing illiterate-goondas and chors, they also indirectly help corruption to thrive in Goa.
I know such sycophants and supporters of the illiterate-goonda-politicians will say “our work is being done due to our connections, why should we bother about others?”
My reply to them : “What goes round, comes around”.
Today, such supporters and sycophants of the corrupt, illiterate and goonda politicians will be happy, but tomorrow their children will suffer and these same supporters will cry.
My appeal to all Niz Goenkars, stop corruption and kick out these 40 chors who are robbing, looting and raping our beautiful Goa.
Support Niz Goenkar and vote for our candidates. We will bring in the change; for we are determined to bring in the change and wipe the tears from the eyes of our poor Goan brothers and sisters.
Viva Goa, Goa for Goan, Long Live Goan Unity. Viva Niz Goenkar

  1. Stop corruption and to do that right away, change the present set of politicians and elect Niz Goenkars with strong backbone. Let us strive to bring a legislation where no one will be allowed to contest for the 3rd time.

Now you can count the generations of politicians trying to rule us Goans. They know, they don't have to earn their bread like you and me but by corrupt ways, by giving all the portfolios to their family. Joking Alemew is not the next to introduce his son. Sell the jobs only? They have sold Goa to the outsiders.

  2. If this is the case we will next see Goans sold as slaves to the highest paying Ghantis. Unless we have a political revolution nothing will change in Goa. True Goans need to unite and follow you heart and follow Niz Goenkars at the next elections.

Panaji, Jan 4 (IBNS): A sub-inspector has been caught red-handed selling narcotics to two foreigner girls in yet another police-drug mafia-nexus-expose, causing much embarrassment to the Goa police.

A local news channel exposed the latest footage which was shot via spy-cam at an undisclosed place in North Goa. The channel claims that the man in plain clothes shown on the spy-cam is the former anti-narcotics cell PSI Sunil Gudlar.

The footage reveals Gudlar extensively speaking with the girls to sell them packets of charas. Police spokesperson Atmaram Deshpande told reporters that they will be able to comment on the issue only after watching the video.

PSI Gudlar received accolades and was awarded a certificate by Director General of Police Bhim Sain Bassi for arresting Israeli drug baron David Driham aka Dudu in February 2010.

The fresh expose reminds another police-drug mafia nexus in February 2010 wherein another Israeli drug lord Yaniv Benaim aka Atala bragged his links with Goa police. The video which was shot by Atala’s jilted girlfriend Lucky Amori Farmhouse was uploaded on popular social networking websites youtube.com and metacafe.com .

The clippings triggered a major crackdown on the police-drug mafia nexus, which saw Atala and seven other policemen, including a police inspector arrested for their links with the drug mafia. Atala jumped bail and is back in his home town at Israel.

Gudlar, presently posted at Security, is also the investigating officer in Dudu case which was recently chargesheeted before Narcotics Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances Court at Mapusa.

Dudu was arrested with several kilograms of different drugs at Anjuna in February 2010 and is in jail since then..
