NCP WANTS MORE SEATS FOR NEXT ELECTIONS

PANJIM:  Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Goa Thursday said that they will ask for more seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections considering that their strength is growing in the state.
"During last pre-poll alliance with the Congress, we got six seats. This time, our claim will be on more seats since we are growing in the state," NCP Goa Unit Chief Surendra Sirsat told reporters today refusing to elaborate on number of constituencies that they will be claiming.
"We have a right to contest for the seats where our presence is strong," he said adding that the party is yet to decide whether to forge pre-poll alliance or not.
"There is still time for the elections, these decisions would be taken at the right time after considering the situation prevailing that time," he said.
Sirsat, former President of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), took over the reigns of Sharad Pawar-led party in the state from today after incumbent president Jose Philip D'Souza's resignation letter was accepted by the party high command, couple of days back.
The former Speaker of Legislative Assembly conceded that he has an uphill task of keeping entire NCP family together. The party has seen intense infighting which has spilled even on the streets recently.  D'Souza, the outgoing President had to resign after he had a public brawl with his party colleague, Fransisco Mickey Pacheco in the run up for the municipal elections. - PTI

  1. NCP can take some seats from scrapped or new Kadamba. Plenty available.

  2. They needs more members to rape and loot Goa in large numbers and finish Goa faster. Goenkars Elect them to toilet seats or flush them down the toilet together with human waste. The improper planning off Goan housing project, will see human waste floating on the streets during the monsoons.
