DUDU’S BAIL PLEA REJECTED BY NDPS COURT

PANJIM: Drug Baron David Driham alias Dudu failed to get relief from the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances court as Hyderabad-based laboratory is yet to furnish report on the drugs seized from him. NDPS court today rejected his bail application filed by the drug dealer, who is currently in judicial lock up.
This is the third time that his bail plea has been rejected by the court.  Earlier NDPS Mapusa and Bombay High Court at Goa had rejected his bail plea.
While hearing the bail plea, defense lawyer argued that the prosecution has not disclosed all facts of the case and neither submitted reports of the analyses from Food and Drugs Department and Hyderabad CFSL.
The prosecution told the court that they have received a report from the Food and Drugs Administration department (FDA) which confirms that the drugs seized was Charas, while reports of ecstasy and MDMA is yet to be received from Hyderabad based laboratory.
Rejecting the bail plea, the Court remanded him to further judicial custody. He is currently lodged in Sada sub-jail at Vasco.  A team of Anti-Narcotics Cell had caught Dudu with cocktails of drugs running into several lakhs near his house at Anjuna on February 21. (HD)
