We must not forget that British Raj had propelled Indians into the forefront in the field of education. This also spurred our advance into the English language and today’s technology hub.
Similarly, because of Portuguese rule, Goa got a unique identity. Discipline, honesty and strict law and order situation, was in force then.
Those who raise a hue and cry against the visiting Portuguese ship are hypocrites and bigots. We ought to be grateful to the Portuguese for bestowing a unique identity. On us its unique identy. unique identity and I say this with a lot of conviction and pride that it was the Portuguese who made all this possible.
Absolutely right Mr Rego! Some of our Goan idiots and donkeys don't know the meaning of Goan identity, unity, race and language. Goans are a class apart because of the amalgation of the Eastern and Western culture.
ReplyDeleteThe tourists who come to Goa don't come to see only the beaches (Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Orissa have better beaches than Goa). They come to witness this unique Goan identity, culture and heritage. Once, the unique identity of Goa is lost, then believe me no tourist will come to come. Who would come to see the ghantti culture which is slowly creeping into Goa's mainstream?
To Vincent Rego & Bebdo::: I agree with you guys.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet your last Rupee ...that Karmali, Kamat and the dumb mules that follow & faithfully carry their "anti-colonial" baggage are more Western in their day to day lives rather than Indian/ Goan.
I would like to see Karmali wearing the traditional KHASTI (Goan loin cloth).
However, I doubt he will do that.Perhaps he should also carry on using the "Bullock Cart" as a mode of transport or giving up modern colonial tools / gadgets like Mobile Phones.
Any sane person even possessing just a few brain cells will easily understand that in Goa, Tiatrs are re-enactments/ dramas and fantasies of daily lives of people.
The visit of NRP SAGRES, was purely, and as such, a re-enactment of an actual and factual historical event.
Perhaps Karmali and his bunch of idiots and Goa`s Political clowns suffer from Paranoia.
They do not have the capacity to seperate truth from fiction.
For me and I am sure for many SENSIBLE Goans and foreign observers, worldwide, the arrival of the NRP SAGRES was a historical "re-enactment"...not a prelude to any invasion or re-colonialisation of Goa.
I do not believe Karmali`s protests acheived anything....it purely reinforced their acute MADNESS.
Quite true, Vincent has put it in the right place. Let BJP and Karmali and his gang eat Sh...t of the Portuguese and the British
ReplyDeleteThose who were raising hue and cry are absolutely "rented" chamchas of a certain community and want to prove themselves more Indian than other Indians. Why aren't these people raise their voice against the open loot by the politicians and their chamchas including the crumb eaters? Why they don't raise their voice on crime, drugs and prostitution in Goa? They are happy to sell their properties to "foreign" parties or rent their apartments to foreign parties to get higher bucks but fail to identify how India is supported by other cuntries at UN including the recent acknowledgement by US to support India for a permanent seat in the UN. Staying in Goa and not moving into the outside World, they think that there is no World outside Goa. That is one reason their mind cannot think on Global issues but within the 4 walls of their compound. When it's time to stand up against the corrupt, they cease to exist.
ReplyDeleteSome monkeys will not understand the ground reality of the situation. Half of the protestors are ignorant of the historical facts. They are the famous "Rostad" who are paid to be there. These monkeys do not even know what is the meaning of an unique identity.
