INFERNO IN SOUTH GOA by Premanand Naik

It was 25th of may and as usual my day started at 7.00 in the morning. It was a calm morning and i took my bike and started heading to Canacona to meet some dealers. I saw some commotion at Balli near Govt hospital were a few people had gathered thinking it as any other day I proceeded to Canacona, from 9.00 am a wave of tribal people started coming in, and a few hundred were turned to thousand all the roads leading in and out of Canacona were blocked.
Huge trees from either side of the road were cut and put on the road at Padi, Khola, Neturlim, all the transport was blocked, not even ambulances were spared,. I reached Canacona at 9.30 Am as there was no public transport all the parking places at Chaudi Canacona were filled with two and four wheelers. by 5.00pm i finished all the dealers and sat at a internet cafe to post all my reports for the day to my higher ups.
When I looked at my watch it was 6.00pm and I thought its time to go home. Every thing was normal till I reached Paddi (just after Karmalghat) big boulders and huge trees were lying on the middle of the road almost every were and I had to clear my way and proceed it was looking like a scene from a movie or news clip from Afghanistan. there were huge lines of vehicles caught un aware at Balli what I saw was unbelievable six to seven vehicles were burnt or still burning forest check post at Balli junction was burnt down to ashes top govt officers were beaten up.
Mr. Ramesh And Prakash Velip both tribal leaders were manhandled allegedly by Ballikars and horror of the horror was five to six people were charred to death when the Adarsh building of Prakash Velip was put on fire. almost from all the fire stations fire engines were brought to control the fire as the building contained huge quantity of cashew nuts and dried coconut kernel.
Meantime the tribal leaders have given warning to the govt that they will blow all the bridges on the national highway at Canacona if the people who were involved in burning the tribals are not arrested within 24 hours

  1. My dear Goans , you have shown some guts but ended in fighting among yourselves. Please use your God given commonsense and start attacking all the politicians , starting from Digandu Kamat as the politicians are the main cause for all this rot in Goa. Portuguse left Goa with law and order but now we are following Indian legacy of lootmar and dadagiri.

  2. Reporting as you witness is great and do keep reporting us Mr. P. Naik. Were the police officers of Goa hiding in the bushes or collecting bribes or haftas to clear the traffic chaos? Where were those great MLA's and those Sarpanches or Punches or Mama-ladars? Why has the tribal s turned violent or were they endangered by the wild life political monsters? Do keep writing Mr. Naik.

Perhaps Digamber Kamat and his new "Boyfriend" and political paramour, Churchill, will have to go to New Dehi again to resolve this matter.
The High Command in New Delhi must be waiting, for their 2 donkeys from Goa, with open arms.
In an earlier comment, someone described Churchill as carrying files just to show he is important.
Wel,l I can assure the commentator that Churchill "could be" carrying a stash of pornographic materials to read on the flight. He understands pictures...not words.
