EDUCATION MINISTER ORDERS ENQUIRY INTO INCORRECT CALCULATION OF MARKS

PANJIM: The Education Minister, Mr Atanasio Monserrate has directed the Education Secretary, Mr V P Rao, to conduct an enquiry into the alleged lapses that led to incorrect “calculation” of marks of the students of twelfth standard, whose results were declared earlier this week.
The directions to the Education Secretary were issued after a meeting of the officials of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Saturday.
Mr Rao has been further directed to submit the report immediately and the Education Minister has promised to take stern action against those involved in wrong “calculation” of the marks.
Meanwhile, the Board has said that the corrected results of all the candidates would be declared by May 30. The board has begun the process of collecting the “wrong” mark lists. The corrected mark lists of science students would be handed over to the managements of respective schools by Monday.
The board officials have further stated that the results of the Secondary School Certificate course would be declared in the first week of June. – NT

  1. This is like the incorrect calculation of Dollars, Dinars and Dhirams at the Shivaji CHAPATI Airport in Mumbai when Monserrate was caught with a huge amount of money but Custom officers counted it "incorrectly"  to minimum sum to waive his punishment and let him free after paying a meagre fine. If this type of a man is a Minister of Education, what else do you expect?

  2. We are surely mad to believe him. For the CALCULATION of COMMISSION of percentage on Cyberage Computers  and   the stale Sheera and Powa of the midday meals is more important for him

  3. You have to study hard in order to come up in
life, be recognized /known in your society, get a good job etc. etc. but I always
wonder why our election commission has not put minimum qualification criteria
for the politicians or in order to enter politics.
Can you imagine a person such as Monserrato,
who has not completed even his 10th, is our bloody education
minister, what a BLOODY INSULT to the education system !!! and all the well
    qualified people of Goa.
To travel abroad, in order to work you need a
Police Clearance but for Politicians to travel wherever they wish (look at
Mickey, Churchill…ALL OF THEM), it’s ok
Every company has a SET retirement age, but for
    Politicians there’ no limit,
To get a good job, you need to be well
qualified, but for Politicians nothing is required.
You need to pay tax, if you don’t then it’s
illegal, but everyone knows it goes into our politicians pocket, so what is
wrong if you evade tax? When you know you’ve  worked hard for it.
How all this works is beyond my understanding
!!! and how our people so damn senseless !!!
