GOVT HAS NO DETAILS OF AG SUBODH KANTAK’S ASSETS & LIABILITIES

PANJIM: Details of State Advocate General Mr. Subodh Kantak’s assets and liabilities are not available with the Goa Government. This has been informed to Adv. Aires Rodrigues by the Law Department under the Right to Information Act.
Adv. Aires Rodrigues had sought details of Advocate General Subodh Kantak’s assets and liabilities as the Goa Government over the last five years has paid by way of fees to Mr. Subodh Kantak over rupees five crores.
Meanwhile, the Under Secretary (Personnel) has informed Adv. Aires Rodrigues that the Chief Secretary and other Secretaries to the Goa Government have to furnish their annual property returns. Adv. Rodrigues has however been informed that the information furnished by the officers in original has been forwarded to the Cadre Controlling authority in Delhi.
The Under Secretary (Personnel) has also informed Adv. Rodrigues that all heads of Goa government departments submit their annual property returns every year.
Adv. Rodrigues has now sought under the Right to Information Act from the Union Home Ministry details of annual property returns of all IAS and IPS officers who have served in the state of Goa during the last five years. Adv. Rodrigues has also sought from the Goa Government property returns of all heads of government departments over the last five years.
Adv. Aires Rodrigues has today stated that the issue of assets of government officers had to be pursued as many officers had reportedly acquired huge assets disappropionate to their known sources of income and that some of the assets have been transferred in the names of their family and friends.

  2. Beleive it or not, they all have assets not just way beyond their source of income, but way beyond anyone's dream. Thats the amount of wealth they have amassed fraudulently. I  hope that their creator keeps them long enough to enjoy what they have stolen from the society.
