THEFT OF LAPTOPS, PEN DRIVES BY SECURITY GUARD

PANJIM: Anit Sinha, a security guard has been accused of stealing three laptops and a pen drive all valued at amounting to Rs 1.45 lakh, from an IT office.  The incident occurred in the office of Sify Technologies between October 18 and 19 reportedly after office hours.
Mithun Khandolkar, an IT engineer complained that the electronic devices contained important and confidential information. Case under section 381 (theft by servant) has been registered with the Panjim town police while the suspect is absconding.
It is learnt that Sinha, hailing from Assam was employed with the Company for some time, handled the office keys. His photograph and other details have been flashed at all important locations including police stations, border check-posts and other places. (HD)

  1. I doubt that this theft is justifiable, But this is the result of hiring of cheap non Goans. There are many honest Goans seeking employment in the field of security. Look no further.

  2. There are many Goans seeking employment in field of security, but, as supervisors, managers. Name one Goan who is willing to stand in one place, 8 hours a day, six days a week, for peanuts.
