The interviews held to recruit government staff are a farce. The candidates are in fact chosen and finalized much before even the letters of interviews go out to the aspiring candidates. Merit and competency is all irrelevant with Ministers calling the shots. The Heads of departments have to be blamed for not having the spine to tell the Ministers that all recruitment should be on merit.
Even the office of the very high constitutional post of Advocate General has been stuffed with his family and friends. The Advocate General Subodh Kantak has confessed that his personal secretary, a clerk from the Corporation of City of Panaji, has been brought in by him as his Personal Secretary on a gazetted officers pay scale. Amongst other errands he walks the Advocate General’s pack of dogs. The whole system of recruitment of staff seems to have gone to dogs.

I believe the Pakistanis learnt the game of Match Fixing from Goan politicians. All the jobs are fixed, paid in advance by the Goan Ministers and politicians, interviews is just a farce.
ReplyDeleteAires Rodrigues once commented that Babush Monsarat was Educatation Minister without Educatation but once he lost his fingures with brutal attack he forgot who is Babush Monsarat as he got his back full with money or property deals eg Flats in one of the prime place in Model counstruction ?
ReplyDeleteI am sure the vacancies were conveniently created, candidates already selected and may have even started working, before the interviews. It's a farce or like they say "Mock Interviews". What percentage of Niz Goenkars were selected and got these jobs???

ReplyDeleteDo you have all your fingers with you?
Have you the guts to fight the corrupt and criminals? Or a coward who can only comment on the ones who have never lifted their hands on other?
A coward only talks when he knows the other will not retaliate in a criminal way.
Right now your fingers must be in some of your 'Saib's' arse, licking whatever you can get.
Aires, can you do us a favour and find out for what rate Pandurang Madkaikar sold the jobs of RTOs to 11 people when he was the Transport Minister. I know of a guy from Marcel who paid him 22 lakhs.
ReplyDeleteOne can see how our illiterate MLAs have received tickets to contest elections. Lessons learnt they do the same thing this will keep going on. But not if Goans unite and put a stop to it.
ReplyDeleteThis is India for us.....we are too proud to see that we have major problems, instead we want to boast and put up a show like the CW Games....and then we show our true colours to the rest of the world. And if anyone speaks up from outside in criticism, that person is deemed a racist! I don't know how India is going to progress....yes, we have a fantastic culture, but we do not do our people right! I would ask the media to film the 'walking of the dogs' and put it on state media, and see if taxpayers would like their public servants 'walking dogs' rather than assisting the public. The Indians always denigrated the British for acting as 'Lords', but are they any acting any different? George Orwell was right; we have replaced the farmer with PIGS….and in Goa the resemblance is uncanny!
