HOW THE ILLITERATE POLITICIANS ARE RULING AND LOOTING GOANS & GOA by Bebdo

From time immemorial, Goa has produced eminent scholars, statesmen, doctors, administrators, major-generals and had formed part of the intelligenstia throughout the world. Even Alexander Dumas in his famous book The Count of Monte Cristo has featured a Goan as one of the main characters of his novel.
He was none other than Abbe Faria, who is today regarded as one of the pioneers of hypnotism. Even of late, we had Goans who have excelled in various fields. Julio Ribeiro, the top cop, General Sunith Rodrigues, former chief of the army staff of the Indian Armed Forces, R. Mashelkhar, an eminent scientist, Anil Kakodkar, another eminent scientist, F.X. Souza whose paintings sell for millions of dollars have all made Goans proud.
So the question that is asked by every Goan is if the land of Goa has produced such vast talent and when Goa has one of the highest literacy rate in India, then why is it that Goa is ruled by a bunch of illiterate looters and buffoons?
No one will dispute with me that as a race, Goans are very honest, God-fearing, trust-worthy and meticulous in their dealings. So what has gone wrong that our Goans allow themselves to be ruled by people such as Churchill Alemao, Babush Monseratte, Mikkey Pacheco, Pandurang Madkaikar, Digambar Kamat, Mauvin Godinho, Agnelo Fernandes, Vishwajeet Rane and the other chors like them?
What has made the more educated Goans leave Goa and seek employment in foreign countries whereas the Ghanttis are minting money in Goa?
Now let me elaborate on why the illiterate goondas and buffoons are ruling the educated Goans:
In Goa, one doesn’t require qualification to become a minister or an MLA. With the qualifications that most of these ministers and MLAs have, they won’t even get a decent job of cleaning a toilet even in one of the worst municipalities in Goa. I think to be a janitor one requires a minimum qualification of SSC. But look around and see what qualification our ministers have. Chorchill, Mikkey, Babush, Pandurang Madkaikar and the rest of them are not even SSC. How many of you, my dear Niz Goenkars have qualifications of graduation, post-graduation and even PhDs and yet have not even received a single call letter from the employment exchange where you must have probably registered for more than 10 years now? I would say 99 per cent who have these qualifications and who don’t have the money to pay to these illiterate goondas and chors must have left Goa in disgust and are now trying to make their ends meet on foreign shores.
Now since, the middle class and the educated Goans have left Goa because of the lack of job opportunities in their home state and the ones who are still in Goa are trying their level best to get out of the mess and are not interested in exercising their democratic rights, the field has been left open to the henchmen and the foot-soldiers of the illiterate goondas who have no ethics and morals, and are interested only in looting and raping their neighbours, Goans and Goa. They are happy with whatever left overs and bread crumbs these illiterate goonda politicians give them in the form of job as a clerk or a peon in an office. Some of them work for these illiterate goonda politicians for a bottle of feni and a plate of xacuti. The other hangers-on who are slightly educated stick around these illiterate goonda politicians in the hope of getting a contract to build a road or a house for the non-Goans in Goa. They don’t mind the amount of hardship and bribes that they have to pay to get a small contract.
Those of you who have studied John Maynard Smith and the Game Theory of human behaviour must have definitely come across the Theory of the Hawks and the Doves. When the Hawks (in the case of Goa, the illiterate goonda politicians) invade a colony of the Doves (the decent, educated and middle class Goans), the Doves retreat and fly to a new place where they find foodgrains which they share with each other as they are a peaceful species and who value the spirit of community and cooperation. The Doves don’t resist the Hawks because that would involve a fight which could be bloody at times.
According to Smith, when one Hawk invades a colony of the Doves and when the Doves retreat, other hawks too descend on the same territory. The hawks may fight among themselves, but their fights won’t be bloody and they will continue to destroy any form of life within that territory for their thirst for blood and survival.
Now how can the Doves prevent the hawks from invading their territory? Smith suggests that a hawk won’t attack a territory of the Doves where the Doves live in huge colonies and when the Doves pretend to be brave and united.
So my dear Goans, we have become like the Doves who have retreated and given a free hand to the hawks … in this case the illiterate goondas … to loot, rape and destroy Goa.
These Hawks from Goa have attracted more Hawks… and they are the rich and sleazy Ghanttis who are now turning Goa into their territory with their sex and drug cartels and building projects. These Hawks (the Goans and the Ghanttis) are now driving away the Doves (orginal Goans) from their own homes.
The Goan Doves don’t even go to vote during elections and the Hawks – both Goan Hawks and Ghantti Hawks ensure that only their members cast the vote.
You will see these hawks even in the villages as panchas and sarpanchas. Most of these guys too will be illiterate and will try to drive the doves away from the village by making their lives unbearable. I can go on…., but space is a constraint. So what is the solution, how can Goan Doves get rid of the illiterate goonda politician Hawks who have taken over Goa?
Can we kill these Hawks who are threatening the very existence of honest and educated Goans from staying in Goa?
Yes we can.
With the help of Niz Goenkars we can.
We should all unite and unitedly fight the hawks. So unity is a must if we as Goans want to live peacefully and resourcefully in Goa.
Unity is a must if we Goans want to lead a life of dignity and respect without eating the blood-stained left overs and bread crumbs of the illiterate goondas and chors.
Unity is a must if we Goans want to recreate a Goa of the yore which was once called as the Rome of the
East.
Unity is a must if we Goans want ourselves to be called as Goans by people from other parts of the world.
Sadly, if we don’t achieve our unity and our goal of kicking out the illiterate goondas who rule as politicians, then within 10 years we will have to go with a torch to search for a true blue blooded Goan. By then it would be too late. For according to the latest census, the number of non-Goans has reached 35 per cent, and if the ghanttis continue to come to Goa, then soon we will become like the East Indians in Bombay. Once upon a time, Bombay belonged to the East Indians, today they are sleeping on the roads of Bombay and are working as drivers and cleaners for those who bought their land for a few hundred rupees and bottles of Scotch Whisky.
We should not allow the fate of the East Indians to befall upon us. Wake up Goans, and unite now. Unite under the banner of Niz Goenkar today; for tomorrow, it may be too late.
This is how we can do it.
PLEASE RELFECT ON THIS TO BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE AND TO FIGHT THE ILLITERATE GOONDA POLITICIANS OF GOA.
1.Focus on your potential as a Goan who can contribute to make a change, instead of your limitations.
2. Be determined as a Goan to know the truth about our culture and heritage and be proud of it.
3. Distinguish between who you are and what you want as a Goan? Do you want to be a proud Goenkar or do you want to be proud to be working for illiterate goonda politicians and their ghantti friends?
4. Find something you like to do for the sake of Goa and Goans and do well, then do it over and over.
5.Replace self-criticism about Goa and Goans with regular positive talks.
6. Replace fears of failure against your fight as a Goan against the illiterate goonda politicians who are trying to destroy Goa with the help of the ghanttis.
7. Cultivate people and make friends who will help in the cause to save Goa from the illiterate goonda politicians and their ghantti friends.
8.Refuse to allow rejection to keep you from taking with other Goans the initiative of protecting Goa for Goans and to openly talk about the evil designs of the illiterate goonda politicians who are all set to destroy Goa.
If you follow the Eight Commandments listed above, then you as a Goan will make other Goans proud. And you as a Goan will protect Goa for our future generations.
Viva Goa, Viva Niz Goenkar, Goa for Goans, Long Live Goan Unity.

  1. My lips are sealed and i have no words to put ion writing to appreciate the writing by Bebdo.

I urge every fellow Niz Goan to kindly spare a few minutes and read the article, it will enlighten your mind to justify why we are losing our identity. Is it worth to lose our identity to these political Chors?
    Read the article to understand.

Bravo Bebdo, whoever you are, you are applauded by all Niz Goenkars.

  2. I second Dalia in your thoughts. Instead of harping that the politicians are bad, bad and bad, we should now try to change the mentality of the Goan people to ignore and dump these politicians. I wholeheartedly ask every Goan around the World to participate in educating the Goans to dump the present set of politicians and their families and give a chance to the present new generations, people with back bone and not crawlers. Long Live Niz Goenkars, Come the Unity of the Niz Goenkars to reality.

  3. Just fantastic Bebdo! What a write-up with superb words and examples used to weed out these corrupt chors. I am sure by reading this article many are already enlightened by now. One has to read the article again and again to sink it deep in and get brain washed. We don't dig deep into our true identity and just follow these Pied Pipers wherever they lead us just by showing money. By spending a few hundreds on our unaware people, they make millions for themselves and then cry saying that their bank accounts has been frozen and their famillies are dying of hunger. Wake up all Niz Goenkars. Time for unity and showing our solidarity is now. Rise in unision my Niz Goenkar brothers and sisters. Hindus, Muslims or Christians! We are all Niz Goenkars and have to keep our identity at least for our next generation's sake. Viva Bebdo! Viva Niz Goenkar!!

  6. Dear Beddea – Excellent editorial and appreciate your gesture of putting your heart and mind on this article. The uneducated and illiterate crooks have got elected through the minds of the Goan people. They have brain washed the mind of the poor man and grab the opportunity to take them under their control. Their main aim is “paisa fakko tammasha deko” and that is what these politicians are doing and the poor doves have nothing to do but live on their crumbs rather than go hungry. These poor people who doesn’t have the proper amenities what do they see, they see only the surface of the water whereas they are blinded to go deep and see the corrupt and ill-gotten wealth they have accumulated through wrong doings. Unity and with dedication of all the niz goenkars can revolutionized the whole concept. We keep our fingers crossed for this happening. VIVA GOA.

  9. A Great article Bebdo from the heart, I will never again doubt the power of babdos in Goa. For one reason or the other they have turned that way. But for these Illiterate ministers their Gondas and henchmen their time will be up, if all Goans get united. Thanks to Niz Goenkar for uploading this article.

  10. Ratol Baba only wakes up from deep slumber when the whole world is sleeping. I have no words to describe the article written by Bebdo though in an intoxicated condition. Bebdo always speaks the truth even in that so called dead condition. No Bebdo in this World forgot the way back home in the worst condition of his life and you proved it Dear Bebdo. I hope every Goan wake up to your call and realize that we are not that lost but chances are goo if we throw out the corrupt 40 Chors from the Porvorim Farmhouse.

  11. @Mike Carvalho... thank you very much for your compliment. Yeah, during the OHeraldo blog days, I used to be at Pandu's bar. But now Pandu too has sold his bar to a ghantti and I get my daily dose from Antonette Pixem's tavern which is run by her old father.
To all you other guys, thanks a lot for your support.
One final question to all of you.
Who do you think this Bebdo? Any guesses?

  13. Well said Bebdo! It amazes me that even though we come from different backgrounds growing up in different countries, we all feel the same way…we are nizgoenkars to the core!! Our hearts are aching for change. The destruction of Goa, and of us, as a people is a very real thing. The progress is so rapid that it will not take long for us to be displaced. It could well happen in our generation. Even the politicians say they don't need the Goan vote....what a shame and so sad for us as a people. We have already lost so much. The writing is on the wall, clear and simple! The tragedy is we Goans were blessed with a paradise on Earth. I say ‘tragically’, because now word has gotten out via ‘tourism’ that a paradise does exist in India, in a place called Goa. Now everyone, rich north Indians – Bollywood and Kingfisher wants a part of it. Politicians have become thieves or were already thieves selling to all these people, they don’t need Goans. Look at the disgusting morality of a man, Mickey Pacheco? This is who represents us as Goans? Then, we have the rest, silently stealing the till. Unfortunately, I hate to say this but all signs point to the fact that we are living on the Farm -Goa was taken over by PIGS via India's so-called socialistic policies. We now have illiterates in office, and they have the PIGS dinning at the table eating caviar. Look at our present CM, he is constantly getting fatter...must be all the good food they get from the building lobbies and mining lobbies etc, that’s why he wont sign on the RP....The Monster rate is still claiming he graduated from elementary school? What a joke? And shhuu....he is 'Education Minister' Brilliant Plan! to have someone with no education in charge of ‘Education’…the future of Goan youth! . Does anyone see a problem with this picture? How can senseless rubbish go on, if as Bebdo says we are highly educated community of people? I am sorry to disappoint you all, but I am wary that things will really change in Goa. I have not given up and I will keep hope alive. That’s all I can do as I love my Goa much. However, the political machine is in place to guarantee them being re-elected. They know that they have to sponsor sports teams so that all Goans will love them and elect them. I do also believe that a lot of our people have become selfish and that maybe out of desperation and so they are willing to sell their vote to a 'favour'. I don't know what to tell our people, but discussions must begin in villages in homes, with everyone talking......but are the Goans in Goa ready to do this?....when you look at the low turn out of about 300 people for the GBA last week it is disappointing....I am at a lost. Yes, I was not lucky to grow up in Goa, but my heart feels the same as Bebdo, but how do the people that go to the polls feel about the current situation in Goa? Are they also so mixed up in the corrupt system that they can’t turn away? They may choose to put the same PIGs in office AGAIN!!!!….and I will be clearly depressed. One thing though, I got to hand it to these PIGS, they are intelligent on doing what they need to manipulate the electorate to vote for them...so Dp " I H k k they know how they are going to pay the game, 'this so called democratic process' and get themselves re-elected!…or their children too…creIf(a)):gfc_i,e=a;do{var f=d==b?
    gfc_qg(e):gfc_ug(e);c.x =f.x;c.y =f.y}while(d

  14. The politicians in power loot the public funds by way of commissions and cuts and bribes and make wealth for their next 10 generations! Their kit and kin have become spoilt brats raping and committing crimes of different nature including drug trafficking! Why is the election commission not investigating the wealth of these candidates when they see it multiplying many times in few years in power?

  15. I have a request, this goes out to all the Goans living in Goa and all the Goans who come to Goa on holidays.
DO not patronise the ghantis for ex. the vegetable, fruit vendors etc. Buy only from the local farmers artisans and in this way a small contribution can be made towards the well being of the Goan community. And also try your best to see if there is a good independent contestant for the upcomming election and get them elected. We as a Goan community may not be able to do much but every small act counts towards a better Goa. Every money expecting Goa from the Politician should understand that mother nature is a best bet as our long term investment for our children which these present politicians are destroying for their personal gains. Cheers and long live Goans and Niz Goenkars.

  16. Kelly Brown, University of Leeds22 January 2011 at 11:10

I was doing a Google search for John Maynard Smith and the Game Theory and I came across this article.
The writer Bebdo is fantastic in the way he linked it to the Goans and non-Goans. Though I am not a Goan, I have been to Goa a couple of times. Sadly the place is not what it used to be and I wouldn't recommend Goa as a holiday destination to any of my friends. It is full of Indian tourists who don't know how to respect foreign tourists.
As I said earlier, I liked the way Bebdo has linked Smith to Goa's problems.
Bebdo with your permission can I use it for my thesis on emerging socio-economic and inter-racial conflicts? I will give due credit to you.
    Thanks in advance.

  17. @Kelly Brown... First and foremost thanks for the compliments. I am a small fry compared to Maynard Smith. Nevertheless, if the article helps you in your research then go ahead.
Pls highlight the cause of Goa and Goans and how Goa has lost its culture and heritage to the influx of non-Goans (ghanttis)in Goa.
Thanks a lot for reading my article.
