RENAME GOA AIRPORT by Vincent Rego, Dubai

My humble request to all members of Legislative Assembly to work together without any differences and name Goa’s only International Airport after Father of Goa’s Opinion Poll Dr. Jack De Sequeira. So that people around the world may know it as Dr. Jack De Sequeira International Airport.
There will be no objections since he is a son of the soil who worked for the identity of Goa. This tall man surely deserves some prominent place to be named after him. Also, because of Dr Jack Sequeira, Goa went on to become a separate State. Today’s 40 MLAs who enjoy the benefit of being Chief Minister and Ministers, over and over again, owe him a debt of gratitude.

VIncent Rego::: I totally support this idea.
The workd has many of their Airports named after their Heroes...here are just some...
Each airport below has been named after a celebrity, singer, politician or a famous person:

Liverpool John Lennon Airport - England, UK

John F Kennedy Airport - New York, USA

Charles De Gaulle Airport - Paris, France

Marco Polo Airport - Venice, Italy

    Indira Gandhi-New Delhi

    Chattrapathi Shivaji -Mumbai

  2. Being an active member and fortunate to have met Dr jack De Sequeira during the opinion poll, Vincent Rego I totally support the idea. Our governments are more interested in creating Ghanti Nagars.

  5. Dotor Jack is the rightful father of the nation of Goa. The indians have made a point to put up the statue of the traitor Bandodkar and done nothing about the great man who saved Goa from the clutches of the marathwaddas. The airport should rightfully be named after this great son of Goa. Where is Churchill now sleeping? He only seems to want Karwar.

  6. I fully agree with Mr. Rego. Every airport in India are named after people who fought for a cause or whatever. The Dabolim Airport rightfully deserve the name of Dr. Jack De Sequira Airport. Or is Cowmuth waiting for his name to appear there or name it as Bandorkar Airport, the one who tried to merge Goa with Maharashtra? What to do now?? I dont know!!! Can we name the airport as "Niz Goenkars Airport"?

  7. Yes – I do vouch my agreement to name it after Dr. Jack. They will ultimately come to Bandodkar’s name because these culpable bandits does not know Goan history of any sort that Dr. Jack Sequeira was a prominent figure and our Father of Opinion Pole. But who will listen to our pleas as all these 40 chors have only one motto to loot. Unless and until Niz Goenkar intervene in this matter and insist on to name it to Dr. Jack. It would also be a novel idea if NG can dedicate and name the new party of Niz Goeankar as “DR. JACK SEQUEIRA NIZ GOEANKAR PARTY”.

  8. The rightful name at the Air Gateway to Goa.

The other option is to name MOPA Airport after Chorchill with an erected statue of the looter near the entrance with inscriptions below as -"This is the dukor of Varca who cheated Goans and created MOPA"

  9. I fully support that the Goa Airport be named after Dr Jack Sequeira. I do not think the present active politicians will be interested in naming it. When Niz Goenkars become the ruling party, this should be taken up. Mr. S. Sawant, you make a valid point.

  10. Fully support the fact that the airpoer be named after Dr Jack Sequeira. A very befitting tribute to the great man.
Won't be surprised if the bunch of idiots currently protesting the visit of the Portuguese vessel will protest aginst this as well stating that Dr Jack Sequeria's name sounds too Portuguese.

  11. I too vote for Dr Jack Sequeira who worked hard to thwart the evil designs of those wicked elements and maintain our Goan identity.

  12. Excellent idea!!!!! It is time to celebrate the true leaders of Goa....so that they can inspire the youth of Goa to follow in his footsteps. Please make this happen!!! We need it, if we are to change things around and make Goa something to be truly proud of.
