MARGAO: Early a week after violence erupted at Moti Dongor, the Margao police continues to maintain close vigil on the migrant inhabited hillock till date. Though Margao police station in-charge, PI Santosh Desai claims that peace has returned to the hillock after stray clashes amongst rival political groups, the police have not yet withdrawn the force from the area.
If sources are to be believed, a police vehicle – which normally comes handy to attend to calls dialed on 100 number – is permanently stationed atop the hillock since Sunday last. That’s not all. Not to take any chances of a fresh flare up in the situation, the police have deployed police team headed by a Police sub-inspector, an Assistant sub-inspector, a head constable, besides a team of constables.
The continuous presence of the men-in-uniform on Moti Dongor may have helped to bring down frayed tempers, but the duty to the migrant inhabited hillock has turned a nuisance to the police men as well.
Sources in the know said the police have begun to question the logic of the continuous deployment of manpower at Moti Dongor when there are other pressing issues to be attended by the policemen.
Incidentally, while the police officers have been over enthusiastic to deploy force at Moti Dongor – considered the stronghold of the Chief Minister -- , one hardly finds any police vehicle of officers making a round of the city at sensitive spots to keep anti-social activity at bay.
In fact, the Margao Police station has nearly a dozen police officers of the rank of PI and PSIs, but one hardly find any officer taking a round of the city on grounds that they are too overburdened with official work at the police station. (HD)
Mr Digu Kamat has been pro active with the power department and street congestion in Margao recently
ReplyDeleteJust send him to his little fiefdom.....Moti Dongor to sort out the mess and clean up the "shit" he has created.
There is no doubt there will be blood lettoing and a bloodbath there soon.
Even then it will not wake up the sleeping CM.
Mauvin Godinho and Ravi Naik...take note too.
Your little fiefdoms and Queeny Nagars will soon encounter such disturbances.
Yiu made this bed...now get ready to lie in it.
God,I pray Please save Goa.
Our Police should stay away and let these gangs eliminate each other.
ReplyDeleteThese migrants will start with fighting & eliminating each other.Very soon they will be targeting Goans. Before it reaches to that we have to clear moti dongor of all these anti-social elements. Or else we will be forced to take up arms and probably even shed blood. Who knows ! As the saying goes a stitch in time saves nine !
ReplyDeleteWhoever the Police constables have been deputed must be the persons who do not bow down to their superiors or dance to their tunes. Chamchas Police Officers will never be sent at a sensitive place because they will ultimately know the consequences. I heard that even the Police Officers are afraid to make a round on the Moti Dongor because the ways there are instances that even the neigbours don’t know who comes and who goes from this locality and what business they are doing. This is the understanding being carried out at this dangerous area. I am sure you all will agree to this situation.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the famous"Sword Seizure" incident at Moti dongor a few years back. The case has died down because Cowmuth blessed the Talwars for his benefit. I believe, the case is closed down. Cowmuth had some migrants on his own ration card or residence number int he last elections and declared them as family members "like" who have been staying with him and working for him. Cowmuth should be the victim of the Moti Dongor fever, the first to be.
ReplyDeleteAll these despicable politicians starting from the CM to Mauvin Godinho, Atanasio Monserrate, Ravi Naik, Ranes senior and junior are all out to seek their personal gain and political victory by betraying Goa and Goans. they ply all sorts of political games be it in Moti Dongor, Birla Nagar Sancoale, Chibel, Ponda, Valpoi etc. They then encourage their vote banks to settle on Communidade lands, private lands on our hill, plateaus. After they are well entrenched they then go about demanding legalising all these illgeal constructions as Mauvin Godinho did recently in the Assembly! The CM Digambar Kamat then nods his head and gives his approval. This is the sorry state of affairs in Goa today. that is why the Sharda Rathods, Aboobakr Shaikhs and the rest are cultivated to destroy the peace and civilized way of life that we've known in Goa by these wicked politicians.
ReplyDeleteThese scoundrels have hidden millions of dollars in their Swiss accounts enough for their next 10 generations so they are least bothered. They are shamelessly selling away our Mother Goa to the highest bidder. What for them ? They have their holiday villas across the world.Goans will be reduced to slaves in Goa satisfying all the needs (incl. sexual)of people across the world. In fact this disturbing trend has already started. Of late, many Goans girls have been found in the raids on brothels. This was unheard of even 10 years back. But all is not lost.WE must fight back and hard.WE can start by demonstrating about these illegal hutments on Moti Dongor and ensure that area is cleared. Force will have to be used if required.Moti Dongor is a beautiful place which offers a panoramic view of Margao and its surroundings.WE must not let it go to the dogs !!!
