ONE LAKH WORTH COCAINE SEIZED FROM A NIGERIAN

MAPUSA: The Anjuna police on Friday arrested a Nigerian and seized from him cocaine weighing around 11 gms and worth about Rs 1 lakh.  According to information given by Anjuna PI, Mr Manjunath Dessai, the accused, whose name was disclosed as Samuel Kelvin, aged 29, had come with the consignment to sell it to some customers at Ximwaddo-Arpora.
However, the Anjuna police received information about this and acting swiftly, a team led by PSI, Mr Chandrakant Gauns, nabbed the accused while the drug was still in his possession. The police team also consisted of constables. Further investigations are in progress to ascertain from where the drugs were obtained and who the customers were.
Meanwhile, PI, Mr Dessai informed that the police have taken into custody, Sadanand alias Bhui Chimulkar, in connection with the murder case of Samprit Malvankar.
Though the main accused – the shooter - is yet to be nabbed, Chimulkar was taken into custody as a suspect, as his name figured in the FIR.  Incidentally, Chimulkar was arrested some months back in connection with a drug case and was in custody since then. (NT)

  1. When will this Samuel Kevin escape , or of he is charged will he be acquitted? Again I repeat Goa has the worst deterrent system in place against criminal activity. Then again why will our ministers want the Law changed when their own kin are involved in such activities.

  2. The Gua Pulis will not go ahead with this case as finally it will be proved that Roy naik and Police fellows are involved. So, naturally, they will ignore this case and let the Nigerian go free. This Nigerian must be some "Big Oga" and he will show the way to the police hawa-na ge-at as the chare that he was framed up will sustain. The courts in Goa knows that the previous confisticated catch from the police warehouse is all over with the police personnels for re sale and frame people.
