To True & UNTRUE Goans.::
ReplyDeleteDo not use use the term "LAMANIS".It will upset James D`silva.
Dont call them Gypsies,tribal,Indian Tourists,Interastate Tourists etc or migrants.They are and should be called and addressed as TRUE INDIANS.
But who are these people housing Lamanis? I know for a fact there are Lamani agents in Goa who patronise and protect them. Are we not Goans who encourage them?
ReplyDeleteI once saw a picture of a Lamani girl wrongly captioned as a GOAN GIRL ON A BEACH. It was on a travel blog and I shot a letter to it. I received a reply saying that the Lamani girl was indeed a Goan and I have no knowledge about Goa and Goans. I then sent an acerbic reply and told the blogger, a European, to get her facts right.
ReplyDeleteAfter that there was no reply from the blogger who had spent a week's holiday in Goa.
Many Western tourists think that the Lamanis are Goans.
