BALLI KILLINGS WILL BE DISCUSSED IN BJP’S EXECUTIVE MEET

PANJIM: BJP's National Executive meeting, to be held in Lucknow tomorrow, will discuss among other things the killing of two tribal leaders at Balli village in Goa during an agitation last week.  BJP's deputy leader in the Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde told reporters here today that it was a very serious issue and the national executive would discuss it threadbare.
Munde, who visited Balli, said the party would also raise the issue in the Parliament during the next session.  Two tribal leaders- Manguesh Gaonkar and Dilip Velip -- were burnt alive by a mob on May 25 at Balli, allegedly in the presence of policemen.
Munde said that he, along with BJP's tribal leaders, would meet the Prime Minister over the happenings in Goa. "We will also press for dismissal of Goa government at the meeting with the PM," he said.  BJP's tribal cell had earlier sent a three-member fact- finding committee here, which has submitted its report to the BJP president, Nitin Gadkari.
Munde said that Goa Governor Dr S S Sidhu, who visited Balli yesterday, should present his report to the centre. "Through the report, it will be amply clear that the law and order situation in the state has hit nadir. This calls for dismissal of the government," he said.
Munde also demanded that the policemen, who were allegedly mute spectators to the killings, should be booked under section 302 of Indian Penal Code for murder.  Munde met family members of Gaonkar and Velip, and offered them financial help of Rs one lakh each from the party funds. – PTI

What good has the BJP done for Goa? It has brought equal misery to Goans as brought by the congress.
