Mr D’Sa informed that Snehal was held in a bike theft reported at Panjim on August 18. It was informed that the accused who was being held in judicial custody by the Panjim police was transferred to the police custody, where while being questioned, he spilled the beans on the cold blooded murder of Naresh Dourado, which took place at his flat at Chicalim, in the early hours of August 2.

  1. Great news we have been waiting for this case to be solved. What was the motive behind it? I have always said Goa need harsher Laws from the rest of the Country, to safeguard its Citizens.

  2. This will be another case where the accused will declare that he was forced to make a statement of confession and then go scot free. Where is the link to the evidence? When did the police happen to seal air tight cases? Let us wish them luck.

  3. At last a breakthrough.... Now it 80 percent solved and 20 percent still remaining. How many more months will it take to complete the case 100 percent??? What about Mapusa and Pangim muderers??? Still zero percent???

  4. Now the police have to do their part well. A well investigated case never fails. I hope that the police do the invetigation in a professional way as they are declared so by Ravi Naik, the home minister.

  5. Yes. The Home Minister's professional police will do their job in a professional way. I only hope that this Snehal does not have any political connections otherwise tomorrow he will have the most corrupt lawyer to defend him and the case will be over even before the proper investigation starts.

  6. Snehal Dias is the son of Ex-Union Leader of Goa Shipyard LTD Mr. Vincent Dias, who is a corrupt person and now studying law. He was removed from the service as found guilty of corruption.Snehal Dias is Vincent first wife's son who has died under suspicions, some say she comitted sucide and other say she was given poison and later burned by her husband. Vincent likes young girls, womens and he had an affair wiht his recent wife when he was married to his first wife. I know how Snehal Step mother used to treat him and also his real father. They used to keep him hungry and for silly mistake they used to beat him a lot.Even at the young age his step mother used to give him all the house clothes to wash and also the house work. This things all the Non Mon Vasco people knows it and every one will tell you as I stay there. No one in the locality are friendly with them only his close relative and few of his chamchas.Snehal father vincent even used to beat his mother and used to put her head down in the bucket of water when he was not happy due to her old age. Snehal suffered a lot when he was small after his mother death and may be frustration made him all what he is now today. Anyway he should pay the price for what he has done but his father and stepmother are responsible for this what Snehal is today. His father will be happy now as Snehal is trapped and his way is clear for his caring second wife and the kids. As of the murder of Naresh Dourado this might be a big game of the boys linked to love and girls and police will come out I hope or they will supress it.In konkani there is a saying " mai-pai korta pap ani bhurghim dita zap"

  7. Thank you Marcel for the story. This is the state of broken households, parents should be responsible. Is he the real culprit or just made to confess, wait and see. Hard to believe Goa Police as they are found to be corrupt and non-reliable.

  8. Marcel... Superb research mate. Yes, Vicent will be very happy now that he is going to get rid od Snehal. Reading his life story, really brought tears to my eyes. Poor guy. Whatever he has done must be out of frustration. "Pain kelam pap and Snehal babddo dita zap. Pai marta mojea hea sounsarant. Taka khobor nam voir zoddtti geupak Dev rauta mhunn. Zanno gai babddo Dev assa mhunn ou apnnank apunnuch Dev mhunn sozmota gai?"

  11. Goa Police always do excellent job to increase the number of solved crimes. How many have they not solved by putting the blame on Mahanand? Snehal was arrested on 15th or 16th August at Panjim. Dourado's mobile & laptop are still not recovered. What was the motive of murder? Snehal has history of bike thefts and not house breaking or assaulting. VERY GOOD WORK GOA POLICE>

  13. The police have not revealed any finger print or forensic match, neither have the asked teh relatives to identify the found items, if snehal has confessed and for SURE there are more people involved, the police should have termed him as a prime suspect, place him in custody and further investigate to nab all the culprits...NOT to go public and say that the case is solved....the police contradict their own statements ...eg: Murder case solved- we are furhter investigating...LOL...if it is solved then what is there to investigate..I remember seeing snehal as a child just a few times..apssing by..it is very unfortunate and is proven guilty should get harsh punishment.Only hope that the statement in court is not that the police beat him up to confess...which looks like a high possibility..fingers crossed..wait n watch...if anybody has any more updates you can post it on facebook- Justice for Naresh..

  14. Goa Police- murder case solved, snehal confesses...furhter investigating ,1)first of all if it is solved what is there to further investigate?
    2)no forensic/finger print match
3)no relatives or friends call for identification of found items( if they really have)
4)linking a guy who does mobile and bike theft to the most gruesome murder who cannot even drive--where is the link.
5)there was going to be a movement against the police for acting on the case just a few days later..thats when the police stated the arrest and confession.
6)is there a possibility that he was beaten up to confess and would rephrase his statement in court?
Lot of questions unanswered and doesnt seem that the police have framed a strong case..
Nevertheless on a positive note..let us all hope that we are worng and the POLICE is right and nab all the culprits.
