DON'T BLAME CHRISTIANS by K. K. Swami, Panjim

This in reply to the letter by Santosh Bale ‘BJP & criticism’ (Herald, 9 Sept). I think Santosh is unaware of the entire situation. Who killed the Hindu saints in Orissa? Were they Christians? Rather, it is the Maoists who killed the VHP leader and put the blame on Christians.
It should be noted that Christians never did any forceful conversion. There is something spiritual about the Christian religion, and that’s why people of other faiths embrace this religion.

  1. I have not read the letter by Santosh Bale as I have stopped reading herald. But thanks to K.K Sawami for making it clear about Christian Religion. Communal harmony existed during the Portuguese rule and after that too among the Goans of all religion. The BJP was never part of the Goan Party it is an intruder into the Goan life to fuel communal hatred. I doubt Mr Parrikar is able to control the hard core elements in the party. He would gain more respect if he were to form a New Party. If not Goans of the three religions need to think of forming a New Party themselves to serve the interest of Goans.

  2. Parrikar is the biggest communal inspirer in the history of Goa. He is tr;ying to fool Goans to get votes. He is a member of the Bajrang Dal, RSS and VHP. Kick him out. Though corrupt the congress is much better than the BJP. Take example of Narendra Modi. Modi, Advani and Parrikar are same I mean birds of same feathers.

  4. Please do not compare Congress and BJP in Goa. Today Goa is ruled by the BJP. Present Chief Minister is BJP, Speaker of the assembly is BJP,
Home Minister is BJP, these are all BJP at heart. They camouflage as congress men. The rest of the congress men are just looters. God Save Goa.

  5. I said it before and I will say it again. The interview that Parrikar gave to Niz Goenkar that he is going to fully support Niz Goans is all hogwash. If he wants to come to power, let him form a new party with Niz Goans (he is a good administrator) and we MAY support him. But BJP??? Don't even dream of that Mr. Parrikar. You better prepare your own moddsori.
