CBI REGISTERS FRAUD CASE AGAINST ex-GOA MINISTER PACHECO

Adding to the troubles of former Goa minister Fransisco Pacheco, booked in connection with the death of his close friend, CBI has registered a case against him for allegedly acquiring US visas on forged documents.  Raymond Fernandes -- along with other unknown people during 2007-2008.
They obtained crew members' visas from the United States Consulate at Mumbai in the names of Joanes and Fernandes, besides other unknown persons on the basis of forged documents and facilitated their travel to the US by using the forged documents, CBI officials claimed.
"Further, it has been alleged that the accused persons obtained these crew men employment letters with the help of the ex-minister of Goa after paying hefty amounts," CBI spokesperson Harsh Bhal said.
The case was registered under different Sections of IPC relating to criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and using forged documents as genuine. "Searches and further investigation in this case is in progress," Bhal added.
Media reports had recently said that according to US Bureau of Diplomatic Security, the former minister might be involved in a immigration and money laundering racket. Pacheco had strongly denied this allegation and said he was ready to face any inquiry. Nearly four months ago, he was forced to step down as Goa Tourism Minister after being booked in the case of close friend Nadia Torrado's death. – PTI

  1. There is a saying in Konkani "MARAK KHOINCHEM MEZ, ADD POUNLI BHOR PEZ" I think my fellow readers and commentators will understand what exactly I mean by this.

  2. Goa police waited till they were directed by FBI? Do they think that they are stillt into the slavery World? If Gua police investigated the source of money spent on Nadia and family, they would have probably found the source. Gua police failed on all fronts as their hands are full of valuable paper bits, can't hold more than that. I want to hear waht the Judiaciary tells CBI now, last time the judge said that he is the elected rep. of the people therefore he should be free and go to serve his constituents. What a shame, a rougue serving lawful citizens?

  3. That suit he is wearing does not suit him who is an adulterer, forger, thief and what more I do not know. It is a shame that Herald supports such dirty people and tries to shut peoples voices. But thanks to NIZ GOENKAR we can blurt the truth and try to cause an awakening among the dead Goans in Goa.

  4. Let's hope the CBI investigation is not a smoke screen to cover up other criminals. There should be an international investigation in to this matter. There are some countries happy to except laundered money, it is only with international pressure these countries will come clean. These CBI chaps should also investigate other politicians who have accumulated wealth by illegal means in Goa.
Niz Goenkar is the site to be on please follow it.

  5. Is that Mickey in the full white suit? Is he going to receive his First Holy Communion? He looks so innocent and pure, just like a freshly white washed tomb. But inside, that tomb is full of rotten bones, worms, filth and dirty stench. That's what he is. Let's wait and see now what happens with this latest investigation and how long it takes to either convict him or acquit him once again saying it is a political game.
