CONGRESS-NCP CLASHES WITH EACH OTHER IN GOA

The political allies - Congress and NCP - are at loggerheads in Goa with both the party leaders publicly criticising each other.
A day after NCP's state level convention attended by national leaders was held at Mapusa town on Monday, Goa Pradesh youth Congress committee (GPYCC) President Sankulp Amonkar termed Sharad Pawar-led party as 'liability on Congress'.
The youth leader claimed that NCP was blackmailing Congress by being in coalition and Congress can do better without NCP as its partner. "If we contest next state legislative assembly without NCP, we can do much better and increase our strength," Amonkar told reporters on Monday.
The simmering discontent between both the political allies is nothing new. In February, this year, NCP along with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak party (MGP) and two Independents had formed Group-7, to build pressure on Congress Chief Minister Digamber Kamat.
Congress has 19 legislators in Goa, NCP 3, MGP 2, BJP 14 and one independent in the 40 seat assembly. (PTI)

  1. While these no good guys are busy at each other's throats its time for a New True Goans Party to be formed. Goans have more to lose if these guys are back in Power.

  2. This is a political game to divert the public attention from the main issues like Atala's disappearance, Mickty Mouse, drugs, murderers who are still at large, etc.

  3. Cock and Bull fighting will ultimately result in buying and selling assembly members on the floor of the house. Independant's make the most of it.
