A Movie titled "Anjuna Beach" based on the real life of British teenager Scarlet Keeling (whose semi-nude body was found on the beach in 2008) was shot in Goa without permission of Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG).
A few months back the movie “Dum Maro Dum” raked in a controversy as it was based on the illegal activities happening in the state. Why did ESG give permission to shoot the movie in the state in the first case? Now ESG was not even aware that the movie is shot in Goa even after permission was denied by them initially.
So, what is this entertainment society established by the Goa Government in 2004 for? It looks like the ESG is yet another namesake society which wakes up only at the time of IFFI.
MOVIE MAKERS KNOW THAT CONTROVERSY SELLS. THEY FUCKING LACK CREATIVITY AND RELY ON THE HYPE MEDIA WOULD GIVE THEM TO SELL THEIR MOVIES. AS SIMPLE AS THAT
