ANJUNA COPS CAUGHT ON CAMERA OF A MOVIE DIRECTOR ACCEPTING BRIBE

PANJIM: Even before its release, Sakeel S Saifee, writer and director of movie ‘ Anjunaa Beach’ is wanted man for Goa Police, who are looking out for a controversial footage possessed by him.  Saifee’s interview with a local newspaper which claimed that he has the footage of ‘ Anjuna police accepting bribe to let the shooting happen,’ things have started rolling in the police department.
It is understood that Herald received phone calls from Anjuna police asking for the telephone number of the di rector.
A senior police officer said that the department has taken serious note of the Saifee’s statements. “ We will take action against the policemen, who are caught on camera,” he said.  The director had claimed that he had to pay Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 to the cops, who had arrived at Anjuna beach to stop the shooting.
Incidentally, the camera was also rolled on the cops while accepting the money, in real life. “ We had no alternative but to bribe the police. We already endured a loss of Rs 10- lakh as the Goa government withdrew the film shooting permission after my entire crew of 250 persons was already on the sets of Goa and were amidst shooting,” Saifee was quoted as saying.  The film is partly shot at Anjuna beach, the actual location where Scarlett’ s bruised

  1. Surely, these must be some higher-ups. Sadly, some havaldars who went to collect the loot on orders must have been caught on the camera. The higher-ups only will suspend them if the video is a true footage.

  2. Of all the past evidence that has been presented against the cops what action has been initiated? Nothing, in-fact these rogues in uniform have been transferred and given promotion. Whether someone wants to dispute it or not, the major part of the police force are worthless, corrupt, inhumane, disgusting bunch of beings with random exceptions. Thats the least they could be described. I hope Sakeel Saifee can roll that portion of the clip on you tube and the social media so that the police in their acts of criminal deeds can be exposed again. So many cases ,allegations against them and yet they have no shame. Is there a law to penalize them or are they immune to the law?

Why are these people Filming In Goa? They film in Goa and portray Goans as drunks and crooks. Yes the police are crooks if there is a footage then let it be aired on TV stations.

Hi Gurudas: I think this Film on the death / murder of Scarlett Keeling, will reveal the true incompetencies of Goa`s Investigating & Police agencies and the drug Lords, like Roy Naik.
The Post -Mortem was also screwed up from what I recollect.
I am sure it will be heavily censored.

The police who was captured on police taking Bribe was only an actor acting on his directors orders. Goan police are very good at acting the villain part which is their trade mark.
