BJP WINS SANTA CRUZ, WE WILL WORK TO LEGALISE CHIMBEL HOUSES: PARRIKAR TELLS MIGRANTS by Freddy Agnelo Fernandes, Dubai

Parrikar tells migrants of Chimbel, if they elect BJP candidate from Santa Cruz at the next election within three months he will get their illegal dwellings legalized. An ideal situation, a smart ass boy telling his pregnant friend even though he is not the father, that if her father can give him a good paying job he’ll merry her and that too even before the bulge is visible.
So that the illegitimate become legitimate, if not, let it remain illegitimate but assures the girl that he’ll fight anyone and everyone who wants to outcast the child, because of it’s illegitimate stature, a bastard. How very ingenious and convenient, isn’t it ?
We have always been complaining about the black coats, turning white into black and black into white in courts without even a dent in their conscience or souls. Now it’s the turn of our politicians to do the same. Our erstwhile CM and present leader of the opposition too is ready to take on the High Court if it orders demolition of the illegal dwellings.
Parrikar has vowed to fight to the end to legalize the illegal dwellings of migrants on Chimbel hill. Down south we have the CM who is trying to legalize illegal migrant dwellings at Kharebandh and Monti dongor, then we have the big man from Varca supporting Rahejas the mega builder, an outsider, trying to legalize their illegalities, then we have the deputy speaker and MLA of Cortalim trying to legalize the mega project of an outsider at Cansaulim. It’s indeed reassuring to note that there are some people in the Goa Assembly, for whatever reasons, are ready to fight to save the dwellings of people whoever they may be.
But I am a very confused soul at the moment, people in coastal Goa have been having nightmares because of the implementation of the CRZ ordinance, some of the dwellings have been demolished, even Khariwada at Vasco was not spared. But a leading miner’s star hotel was saved by an overnight ordinance, so the cause of confusion is, why are coastal Goans not even getting any sympathy from our very own elected politicians, leave alone ordinances to save our dwellings ?
But for the migrants and the rich and the affluent our politicians go out of the way and put even their political careers at stake, challenging the High Court and even the Supreme Court’s orders and directives. Agar unlog ka khoon, khoon hai, hamara khoon kya panni hai ?
Our humble dwellings may not be the biggest, the best or even legal but they are our dream homes, for the migrants their shanties, for the bigwigs their condominiums and for us coastal Goans our small houses, they are the result of our hard work and sweat. If there are rules, they should be for all in equal measures and if there is sympathy, that too, should be for all in equal measures.
There should not be one set of rules for the rich and the affluent to save their illegal structures, or another set of rules to legalize the illegal structures of migrants and one set of rules only for coastal Goans, whose hearts have so truly bled, bereft of support from our very own elected politicians.
There are a good number of votes along the entire Goan coast, are there any takers, or are our votes not as good as the votes of Indira Nagar at Chimbel or Monti dongor in Margao ? Goans it’s time to ponder and give a befitting answer!

Gaon have brought BJP and other non-Goan organisations into Goa through their selfish deeds, Advantage has been taken by these non-Goans because we are not united. But we are very good at having a few drinks and fighting among ourselves. Outsiders take advantage of us, so do our politicians as they are fully aware we will not lift a finger to oppose them. Many organisations are formed with good intentions but they too fall apart with internal squabbling. Where does the unity of Goan lie?

  3. If illegalities can be made legal than why the hell we should have Town & Country Planning ? Why should we have a government ? We can even build buildings on the road and Temples besides the roads and in some other people's property ?  To do illegalities we do not require ministers to be bribed. Why should we have Morchas at Azad Maidan ?  Why have Regional Plans ? Lets do what we want and we can rely on BJP and Parrikar in particular to bless them with a coconut and make it legal. This has been Bharat & will remain like that till the end of the world.  Not that Churchill & Congress is any different.

We have to blame our Goan politicians mainly the Catholics for strengthening the BJP. South Goans MLAs have handed Goa to Non-Goans on a silver platter. The so called freedom fighters were the first ones to betray Goans.

A to Z, I back your comments. Chimbel is Parrikar's ancestral land that was occupied by ghantis and now he wants to legalise. Before coming back to power if this dirt from panjim can give this promise then just imagine once back in power. BJP and RSS will feed Goans for dog's. Panjimites be aware of this cheap gimmick if you'll want to save Go from disaster.

How can an illegality be legalized? How does what is illegal become legal? Ah! I know - by a stroke of the "Chief Minister"'s pen he will transform illegal into IS legal.

  11. Missed the blog for few days and seen a lot of water has flown under the bridge. Yes Parrikar, go ahead and do it. After all they are the members of the families of you dirty politicians. Get your sons settled there so they will be known as respected citizens of Chimbel.

  12. When politicians are on the ruling side, they become the law. What is illegal becomes legal and what is legal becomes illegal. Parrikar is the master of it. He knows how to change the rules of the game.

If Goa has been illegally invaded, BJP can legalese any illegal construction, as it is the Indian way of doing things.  Ask our Police and politicians the are well seasoned with it.

Goa under Parikkar (BJP) will witness one of the worst Communal disturbances in Goan history. Do we want to be witness to that or do we stand in unity and fight these thugs.

  16. Shubash, you are right outsiders take advantage of us but our politicians are fully aware we will not only lift a finger but all our fingers even toes to oppose them yet they don't care and do what they want to do because they also knows a barking dog seldom bite. Only a REVOLUTION of real united Goans can bring in the changes but we lack real Goa loving Leaders and those leaders who are coming forward with good intentions they are heavily criticized later or they end up, like you said with internal squabbling. As a consequent the let loose dogs - politicians - and others are feasting on us barking only Goans.

  17. Freddy, I add one more new Ward of Migrants to your list which is still being filled in and it is just very close to Margao Konkan Railway Station at East of Colmorod which incidentally fall under Margao M.C. therefore may be part of Digu CM's larger plan after Khareband and Monte-Dongor settlements of Migrants.

Stupid Luzinho made 15 years Residence compulsory even to real Goans to prove you are a real Goan and resident of Goa, where as these migrants are made residents of Goa within 24-48 hours with Ration card, Voting card and what not by their god-father politicians, which also include Senhor Chorchill luring Davorlim and also Mandopa Migrants.

Can we complain to any one on this? is there an authority in Goa to hear this kind of complaint and will it hold if there is any? Goa is made "gone for dogs" by these politicians like a prostitute any one come and uses Goa in any way they want and shered it to pieces.

Parrikar with his promise to Chimbel migrants to make their illegal dwelling legalized within three months if BJP candidate is elected there has proved that he is not a different from the Congress scoundrels.  In fact, who ever may rule Goa and who ever is in Opposition they are one and the same anti-Goans.

  18. Of course  we want to fight these thugs but under whose leadership? Do we have a real selfless Leader? Because of communal BJP having no alternative we use to support Congress but illegitimate Congress has sold our  Souls to unknown devils, and those make shift parties like UGDP and SGF has betrayed Goans' trust on them and not only they sold our souls but even our bodies and Goykarponn.  Will there come any new Party now to fight all these present betraying Parties and save Goa and Goans?  Time only will tell us.

  19. Never, ever give this communal, migrant lover parriker a second chance at the chair. Even in the opposition he is useless.
