PANJIM: International Tourism Mart (ITM), Goa which starts here tomorrow will have 200 national and international buyers, travel and trade industry experts and tourism board members interacting during the four day long event, the organisers said on Wednesday.
ITM 2010 organisers claimed that the buyers from over 12 countries including Singapore, South Africa, Canada, UK, Italy, Poland, Russia, UAE, Thailand and Brazil among others have confirmed their participation.
Over 80 partakers will showcase their services and network with industry associates over next four days in Goa's capital city of Panaji, the organisers said. A power packed event, ITM-Goa will see hosted buyer-seller interactive sessions during business hours at the mart, panel discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, networking dinners and familiarization trips.
The event is jointly promoted by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) and the state department of tourism, India Tourism, Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
Goa Governor S S Sidhu will inaugurate the ITM 2010 in presence of state chief minister Digamber Kamat. Pradip Madhavji, Ex-Chairman, Thomas Cook India and Honorary Consul in Mumbai for the New Zealand Consulate will deliver the key note address. - (TOI)
