INTERSTATE GANG SUSPECTED IN THE 43 LAKH COPER CABLE THEFT

PONDA: Ponda police suspect that an inter-state gang could be behind the Rs 43 lakh copper cable wire theft at Cundaim's Terracom company.  They have brought the two accused, who were nabbed in Daman and Thane, to Goa on Sunday morning.
Police said the accused were produced before the Ponda JMFC on Sunday, who remanded them to 8 days police custody. The accused Sunil Kumar Singh, 36, from Silvassa Daman was the marketing officer of the company while the Nikhil Roy, 45, from Bhosari Thane, was the deputy manager. However, police could not recover the copper wire from them, police said. – TNN
