BUS CONDUCTOR, 'ROAD' FIGHTERS ARRESTED

CALANGUTE:  A bus conductor has been arrested by the Calangute police on the charges of befriending a minor girl from Calangute.  According to Calangute Police, accused Anand Talwar was employed as a bus conductor on a bus plying along the Baga-Mapusa route. Few days ago, he befriended a minor girl and was having illicit relationship with her, while she traveled to her College.
Realizing the danger of the continued relationship, the victim’s father filed a police complaint and the bus conductor was accordingly arrested on Tuesday.
The bus owner was also summoned to the Calangute Police station and advised him to relieve Talwar of the job for maintaining illicit relationship with the minor girl. Calangute Police is investigating the case.
FOUR PERSONS ARRESTED: Calangute Police on Tuesday arrested four persons in connection with road fight due to motor accident, while another was arrested on charges of threatening a local.
According to Calangute Police, Devidas Dolre of Karwar, but a resident of St Inez, Gautam Deka (Assam) resident of Majorda, Mohammed Akbar (Bangalore) and Vicky Singh (Uttarakand) were arrested in connection with a fight due to a motor accident at Porba/Agar Vaddo, Calangute.
Police arrested Simon Fernandes (Calangute) on charges of threatening a local from putting up a shack at Baga.  Calangute Police is investigating the case.(HD)
