GOA POLICE HEAD CONSTABLE CAUGH TRANSPORTING DRUGS TO BELGAUM

BELGAUM: Expressing the need for an enhanced co-ordination between Belgaum and Goa police, Belgaum Superintendent of Police Sandeep Patil has stated that the arrest of a Goa police head constable could reveal ‘deeper links’ in Goa.
Commenting on the arrests of Head Constable Arun Desai and four others on charges of carrying Hashish worth Rs 26 lakh in a Goa-registered vehicle in Belgaum, SP Patil said he had sought the co-operation of Goa Police in the case.
Speaking to Herald, SP Patil said a team led by DCIB Inspector Sunil Savadi had set a trap after getting information and nabbed the five accused along with a Maruti van (GA-02-S 2419) along the Bauxite Road here.
“The Maruti Omni van belonging to Arun Desai was also taken into police custody. The Hasish from Nepal was brought to Goa and then it was being brought to Belgaum”, said SP Patil.
“I have spoken to the South Goa Superintendent of Police in this regard and have sought the co-operation of Goa Police as this nexus may not be limited to Constable Arun Desai. I suspect there could be deeper links in Goa”, added SP Patil.
Moreover, raising concern over the rising number of crimes involving illicit liquor trade, drug trafficking and illegal arms trading, SP Patil expressed the need to establish an enhanced co-ordination between Belgaum and Goa Police. “Higher officials across the border at SP level should have better co-ordination to curb the rising crimes”, he said.
Surprisingly, no one from Goa Police had reached Belgaum till late Wednesday evening, despite the information of Desai’s arrest.  Incidentally, the accused head constable, who hails from Halshiwadi in Khanapur taluka, here, kept shouting during the press conference that he was innocent.
He constantly claimed that he had been framed by Belgaum police in the case.
Meanwhile, Belgaum police produced the accused and four others, Bikas Ravikumar Bahaddur, Rajkumar Bahaddur, Sheela Bahaddur, all from Nepal, and Priyanka Kapoor Singh of UP, before the JMFC Court here on Wednesday morning. The accused have been remanded to custody till January 15.

Perhaps Ravi Naik can now claim that as he stated..."there are no drugs in Goa"!!!Just pushers and mules.
The problem is that it is his POlice Force that are the Pushers and Mules.
Not a day goes now, by without one of his Policemen being caught / nabbed/ for drug related crimes.
It seem like the New Year has started rather notably, for the Goa Police....Drugs,Murder in custody,Atala being caught,Dudu`s sisters sting.
Ravi Naik must be proud of his Police Force...and Kamat even prouder???!!!.

  2. Gua Pulis have taken over the business from the hard core drug dealers? It is evident from so many stories related to drugs has got involvement of Gua pulis. The Commander-in Chief of Gua pulis Matka Robbery Naik's family is full fleged involved in drugs trade. His son Hashish Roy Naik must be the kingpin. This is one of the reason that Goans has to be vigilant, stand against corruption, police brutality and it is high time that parents should monitor their children's movements to ensure that their hands don't reach to these vices. As reports appearing one after another, it is understood that drugs are every where. One of the DySP's wife was a former drug addict along with her former boyfriend from South Goa. She must be still longing for drugs after leaving her ex-boyfriend who was drug addict of high fame. The drug business has now become the family business of the Police of Goa.

  3. We Goans are eager to stop the sale of drugs in Goa either by the Police, Politicians or drug lords. Nothing short of 0% tolerance in the sale of drugs is what Goans are looking for.

  4. Drugs, drugs, everywhere, notably the police personnel are pushing them in Goa. And when caught they feign innocence, all of them. So who planted those drugs? the police are getting a dose of their own medicine. The top police personnel must be involved. There might be official enquiries, but it will never be revealed. Police are meant for protection of society, maintain law & order, but these guys are worst criminals. Shame on you gluttons. Ravi Naik should jump over the bridge, being the chief drug baron.

To Neville:::: I am not going to wait , and I am sure you too,and others as well-till the new Golden Jubilee Bridge from Panjim to Vasco will be built.
I think the Mandovi /Zuari bridge will do fine for your recommendation.
    I hope you agree.
I hope Ravi the chief Chimpanzee of Goa, along with his son Roy, will "weight" themslves with all the Gold they have accrued from looted money, before they jump.

  6. Yes Mr Fds. Ravi Charas Naik should take the big leap of faith immediately, off the mandovi bridge,as itsa on the way to the ali babas cave at porvorim, if its too embarrassing there, the old portuguese bridge at borim will suffice. All he has to do is tie his old motorcycle round his neck .....close eyes ....jump. Hurrah, we'll be rid of one evil genius poisoner (with drugs)
