MARGAO: A laboratory attendant attached to a Canacona-based educational institute was merciless beaten up by an irate mob at Paddi after he allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a 20-year old nurse from the village.
The accused Rajendra Redkar (40) is presently convalescing at the Primary Health Centre Balli, even as the Cuncolim police registered an offense of outraging the modesty of the young girl.
Cuncolim PI Nelson Albuquerque informed that the police would arrest the accused no sooner he is discharged from the hospital.
He said the incident occurred when the girl, working as a nurse in a Margao-based hospital, was proceeding home on foot after alighting from the bus at Paddi. “Suddenly, the accused wearing a helmet came behind her an offered her a lift. Apparently thinking that the motorcycle rider is known to her, she accepted the lift, but soon noticed the accused trying to molest her by touching her private parts”, PI Albuquerque said.
He said the girl later screamed for help and tried to flee away when the motorcycle stopped, but the rider again caught hold of her and outraged her modesty.
Her pleas for help evoked attention from a motorcyclist, who along with other villagers later gave the accused a sound thrashing before handing him over to the police. The police are investigating.
Great work done by the people of Paddi for trashing the molester, they should have made him Kopaz(cut his testicles).
ReplyDeleteThis is the result of the migrant influence and migrant tradition and migrant basics. These things were unheard of in the olden Goa but with the influx of the migrants ghanttis our Goans have also learnt their bad habits. Where is the FREEDOM FARTER Naguesh Karmali sleeping.
ReplyDeleteWell done people of Paddi. At least let him suffer the pain. If he was handed over to the police without giving him a trashing, he would have enjoyed free food, free acoomodation in the jail and when produced in the court, woould be acquitted and the girl would be blamed for accepting the ride offer. It's high time that people took the law in their hands and punish the culprits. Like Diogo has said, he should have been made "Capao". Like the pig he is, he definitely deserves it.
