BICHOLIM: The Bicholim police on Thursday arrested the 30-year-old man from Navelim, Bicholim, against whom a case of rape was booked earlier this week.
According to Bicholim police, a 23-year-old girl had registered a complaint against Nitin Gajanan Gawas of allegedly raping her after promising to marry her. According to sources, the girl is pregnant. When Gawas refused to marry the girl, she filed a complaint on January 17, but the police were not able to nab the youth.
Gawas has been arrested under Section 376 and Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
PSI T P Walke is conducting further investigations in the case under the guidance of PI Harish Madkaikar. The accused has been remanded to four days in police custody.
The accused must be castrated and Jailed with hard labour.

ReplyDeleteIf the boy has promised the girl that he would marry her, then it is a case of cheating.

The definition of Rape is:Rape is forced, unwanted sexual intercourse. Rape, sometimes also called sexual assault, can happen to both men and women of any age.
However this guy Nitin Gawas has also been charged with Cheating.
