BICHOLIM: Chief minister Digambar Kamat on Tuesday announced that new bus stands would be constructed at Pernem, Quepem, Marcel and Margao.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a 11.50 crore Kadamba bus stand at Assonora on Tuesday.  The bus stand complex has shops on the ground floor and a canteen and multipurpose hall on the first floor with a seating capacity of 750.
The bus stand has seven bays, KTC inquiry/ticket counter, while the shopping complex comprises 19 shops, a canteen, KTC office, and parking lots for two- and four-wheelers, besides toilet blocks.  Kamat called upon the people to look after this project like they would their personal property. 1. The existing bus stands at Panjim, Margao and Mapusa are in shambles and are totally of no standards as compared to the ones in Bangalore or even in Belgaum. Lest we compare abroad. Cowmuth is dreaming of innagurating AC Toilets and building more bus stands will only fill in his pockets. Let this Cowmuth maintain what we have and then talk about new bus stands. Should we not look into the accounts of these politicians and consider it as our own property that is accumulated by robbing Goa and Goans? What Cowmuth has to say on this project? Check their assets before they became Councillors, MLA's or even Panch Members. It will reveal all.

  2. Its strange how the Income tax department cannot catch the ministers who have amassed wealth way beyond their source of income while at the same time harass the common men if he has even a small saving in his account.I guess the law is different to ALL the politicians.
