MINOR LOVERS CONSUME RATOL BUT SURVIVE

MARGAO: In a shocking incident, a minor boy and girl consumed Ratol paste at Loutolim last night.
The duo were immediately rushed to the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim last night after it became know that they consumed the deadly poison.  Maina Curtorim police said that Special Judicial Magistrate S B Faria recorded the statements and declaration of the two minors at the GMC.
Maina Curtorim Police station incharge, PI Sidhant Shirodkar said both the boy (16) and girl (14) are hailing from Loutolim village. They consumed the poison after they met each other in the village.
Police said the statement recorded by the Special Judicial Magistrate reveals that they were friendly and were apprehensive that their families would not agree to their relationship.
Police said the duo are undergoing treatment in the GMC and their condition is being monitored by the doctors.  The police are investigating.  This is not the first time that an incident of ratol consumption has come to light in recent times.
A number of ratol consumption cases have been reported in the Hospicio hospital over the last two months, with even doctors and psychiatrists calling for regulating the sale of ratol poison in the open market. (HD)

  1. Mickey Mouse is the cause and should be blamed for making Ratol popular. The SOB should be fed Ratol tube after tube and be hanged. I am sure my friend Ratol Baba will be against me for saying this.

  2. It is sad young life gets destroyed in premature romance. The trend of consuming rat poison or suicide has been a bench mark set by Nadia and Mikky's Romance. I think Rat poison should not be sold anymore in Goa.

  3. One more Diogo against Ratol Baba. What to do now! I don't know!!! Ratol Baba, please leave Goa and go somewhere else where there are plenty of ghanttis. But come to think of it, Goa has more ghanttis than anywhere on this earth, but innocent people are dying becoz of them and all the 40 Cowmuths.
