PANJIM: A 29-year-old Austrian national, Oliver Pinz, was arrested by the anti- narcotics cell (ANC) of the Goa police at 8pm on Friday (December 31) in Anjuna for being in possession of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).
ANC officials acted on information that the Austrian had arrived in Goa six days ago and was trying to locate customers to sell the LSD.
DySP Naresh Mhamal along with PSI Tushar Lotlikar laid a trap to arrest Pinz while he was on his way to a party in Baga via Anjuna to sell the drug. Pinz was found to be in possession of 15ml of LSD worth 3 lakh when he was arrested. Pinz has been remanded to seven days police custody.
Mhamal said that they are now trying to locate other places where Pinz could have sold LSD during his stay in Goa. (TNN)
