MARGAO: Nadia Torrado’s brother, Konrad has prayed to the South Goa Sessions court on Monday to reject the application filed by the Crime Branch for cancellation of his anticipatory bail in the case. Konrad’s lawyer, Adv Antonio Clovis da Costa submitted to the court that even the seizure of the phone may not be able to provide any assistance in detecting the offence.
He pointed out that the application for cancellation of bail filed by the Crime Branch is malafide, malicious and filed only to harass his client since there is no cause of action to file such an application.
In his reply to the Crime Branch application for cancellation of bail, Konrad said he was granted anticipatory bail by the Additional Sessions Judge on July 30, 2010 by imposing certain condition, which have not been violated by him. He contended that the application filed by the Crime Branch is an almost near replication of the reply filed by him in the anticipatory bail application.
Referring the submissions made by the Crime Branch that the opinion received from the government examiner of questioned documents, Hyderabad that there are no phone call details, SMSs available in the phone sets and the SIM cards of accused Pacheco even though call details reports of the mobile phones of Pacheco shows number of calls and SMSs exchanged with the victim.
Konrad said “from the submission, it is clear that any holder of a phone set can wipe out the phone memory. I do not admit that I have any such phone but the fact remains that if there was such a phone then the memory could be wiped out in the same manner as Pacheco has done as more than four months have lapsed since the alleged offense. Hence, the seizure of the phone may not be able to provide any assistance in detecting the offence”. The case will come up for hearing in the Sessions court on Tuesday noon. (HD)
Whatever the case I would set this Conrad free, it is his mother that needs to be judged by the law. But why is this Nadia's Murder case taking long to come to a close?
ReplyDeleteDiogo, the answer to your question is that the hands of the law are tied by the police and they themselves are blind not knowing which direction to move. Ratol baby Sonia must be knowing the full truth and Conrad, partly. However, this is the same Conrad who learnt from Mickey Monkey how to fake Chest pain or play Insane.
