KIDNAP ACCUSED GIVES POLICE THE SLIP

PANJIM: The Agacaim police informed that the accused in the kidnapping case at Mapusa, Salim Sheikh, gave the cops the slip on Tuesday afternoon while he was being taken out for lunch from the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour, Bambolim.
The accused was brought to the Institute on Monday due to his unusual behaviour; he had attempted to commit suicide in the Children’s Court a couple of days ago after being remanded to a further 14-day judicial custody, said the police.
All the check posts and the police stations throughout the state were informed, but efforts to trace him till evening proved futile. He was brought from Mumbai after he had allegedly kidnapped a child of his close relative in Mapusa and demanded a ransom from the parents. The Goa police had to seek help from Mumbai police to trace him; he was remanded to judicial custody after serving the police custody. (NT)

  1. What is wrong with the Goan police? Why are they too complacent in transporting prisoners. Because of a few incompetent Goan Police the entire force gets a bad Name. May be these policemen let him Go.They should be sacked as an example to others.

  2. The heading should read as "Kidnap accused left the Gua Police in sleep". When are these police awake to catch the crime doers? They are awake to receive the haftas. Their boss and sons are involved in crimes like supplying and selling drugs.

  3. Another sorry story of our Home Minister's very competent Goa Police. This is nothing new.

  4. Yes, this is nothing new.... But are we dead sure that he escaped? Or was he let go by his handlers in exchange for a certain amount ????

  5. Aggybaba, you will make a damn good detective. I wonder if the Police even had handcuffs on him. Who to blame now? The top bosses with their pockets already full, or the these poor guys in khaki with lathis with their empty pockets?

Mr. dlp, for your kind information let me tell you that the handcuffing of the criminals have been banned by the High court in Goa. The Human rights have managed to make handcuffing illegal. So do not weep for that or call the police names. Curse your courts and specially the HUMAN RIGHT ACTIVISTS for that. Handcuffing has only been banned in Goa.

  7. Human Rights Activists are not the victims of crime. A line should be drawn between the law of the state and the Human Rights Activists. The high courts must re-think of reversing the ban, It is up to the Governments to appeal to the high courts. Is the Goan government convincing?

  8. Hello Mr. Police Constable of Goa...
Thank you for the information. I have learnt something new, but I am still a little bit inquisitive. If no handcuffs, how do you transport these criminals? By making them sit in your lap and hold them tight like a child or just take a leisurely if it is by walking? Now I think understand what Aggybaba above suspects is true. He did not escape but was let go by his handlers. Any which way, the fact that he escaped shows the competency of our Goa Police. Don't give excuses by blaming the human rights activists and the courts to hide your incapabilities. Where thers is a will there is a way. Now don't take it hard. I am not blaming you directly but the whole of Goa Police in general.

Only the Drug and Criminal mafias are good, Goa Government is good, only the police is good, only the builders are good, only the mining Companies are good, only the Casinos are good.

Hey dlp, I knew that no reason would satisfy you and you would play your own trumpet. Let me also tell you something. We are not allowed to hand cuff the criminals, we are not allowed to catch hold of them while escorting and we are also not allowed to chase them if they escape. This is being done thanks to the Human Right activists. But this will go out of your other ear. Sometimes you must accept the truth. Don't think all the police personnel are corrupt and bad.

As far as my knowledge is concerned I know that what the Police Constable said is correct. These Human Right activists and group are corrupt to the core. So I have to agree with him. In the indian human rights you have all the people with criminal background in them, some are fatherless and do not even know who their father is. This I know for sure and a confirmed fact. So dlp please do not blame one party only

  13. Goans have no confidence in the Goan Government nor the Police! We've seen the sleaze, the filth, the scum and the worst that they are capable of.

  14. Dear Police Constable in Goa Police… I was overwhelmed to see your comments coming on this blog. It is good to see a Policeman with lots of intelligent and with perfect English answering our queries. Thank you Sir, for taking your time to respond to our inquisitives comments. Here is one such Niz Goenkar in the Goa Police Department, who can speak in our favour and spread the good news about this blog to others who are corrupt and chamchas to the rogue politicians. My heart goes out to you and once again a big thank you Sir, be with us always and guide us in our fight for the Niz Goenkars and if possible to get rid of these corrupt politicians who are raping our beautiful, bountiful and golden Goa.

  15. Franco... Yes, it is good to see a good police officer on this blog. This shows how far and fast Niz Goenkar is moving. Earlier we had Mr. Aires commenting and now we have a police officer. Isn't it great???

Apologies Mr. Police Constable in Goa if I have hurt your feelings. But by commenting on you policemen, we at least learnt something that we were not aware of.

  16. It is commendable of a Goa Police Officer to be online and clarify some misquotes by Niz Goenkar critics. The recent Sri Lankan boat people arriving into Canada made headlines internationally. The poor people were captured and paraded of the ship with ankle chains, regardless men or women. These countries religiously follow and abide by the principals of Human Rights. What do you think of these chains are they better than the handcuffs?

I understand Human Rights Tribunal and how they operate. They are fighting my case and I am fighting them to hold my balls to investigate some issues that have left back-doors open to twist and turn the law. They want that I show them how to go about doing their work for them. Human Rights Tribunal is good in Western nations when the country is in good hands. It does not work in India and will never.

By the way, wearing an ankle bracelet whilst on the move can help transport criminals and is justified by Human Rights so why can't it be done in Goa for that purpose.
