FAREWELL TO JACKSON by Niz Goenkar

Farewell to Jackson, farewell to the smiling face

The birth place of Ordhofond, the place you loved
Wherever you wander, wherever you roved
The hills of Canacona for ever you loved
Farewell to the young but strong man
Farewell to the sufferings and green valleys below
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods
Farwell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods
Creator of life and light.
We praise thee this day for the beauty of thy world
For sunshine and flowers and for the life of Jackson
storm-cloud and starry night, for the radiance of dawn
And the last smouldering calm of the sunset
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal
Love leaves a memory no one can steal
For a man who has done his natural duty, death is as natural as sleep
Everything that has a beginning has an ending
Make your peace with that and all will be well
Good bye Jackson, Good bye from NIZ GOENKARS

  7. Jackson... Only you and God knows what you went through. Last night I could see a new star in the heavens and I smiled at it knowing that it is you. Although we did not meet, you have touched our hearts and your memory will linger on and on for years to come. Goodbye Jackson and always keep smiling in the sky so we know you are happy up there.

My condolences go out to the Jackson family.
I hope with time they will overcome the Loss and pain and sorrow they feel.
They are a simple & humble family. The salt of the earth.
All Niz-Goenkars express their deepest sympathies at this difficult time for them.
Jackson was too young to go so soon.

  12. You left your family, friends and Goa to go to Dubai
To keep your family happy and not to make them cry
But God had different plans, I just don’t know why
All I can say is Goodbye, my Goan brother, goodbye

You left Goa hoping that you will come back again
But whatever dreams you dreamt have gone in vain
You are back in Goa now, but your eyes are closed
Jesus has welcomed you home beyond Heaven’s doors

God knew better why He wanted you in heaven up above
Because He needs people like you to share His love
One day our time will come too, to meet in Glory Land
And at least then Jackson, we will meet and shake hands

As we pray for you Jackson from here, we know that you too will pray for us from up above.

  15. Yes Dear Jackson you touched our hearts till the core. Our tears will not console your parents, your dear and near ones. Today will be your last journey from the earth to the heavenly abode with all the angles and saints to rejoice with the Lord. You fought a good fight till the end. May be you were destined to be on earth for few years and your last journey to Dubai, for blowing up the misdemeanor done by some of the people in Dubai. In deed it was a blessing in disguise for the Niz Goenkars to know all the truth. Intercede us to the Lord for protection from all the evils. Adeus Amigo. RIP

  16. Thank you Jackson, for reminding us what it means to be Goan. Your life has not been in vain. In the same spirit we must keep the fight going. Like Jackson, none of our fellow Goan brothers and sisters should have to leave their homes and families. We need to elect good leaders that will ensure our needs are met. Too many of our people are suffering with being forced out of Goa. This must stop, and can only happen if we elect leaders that put Goa first and the interest of all Goan people. We will meet again, my Goan brother. Rest in Peace. My deepest sympathies to the family.
