COMPLAINT AGAINST HIGH COURT REGISTRAR SENT TO CHIEF JUSTICE

PANJIM: Adv. Aires Rodrigues has complained to the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court against the abuse of authority by Registrar of the Bombay High Court at Goa Ms. I.K.Jain.
In letter sent to the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court today, Adv. Rodrigues has given details of the alleged illegal police security posted at the residence of the Registrar Ms. I.K. Jain and the alleged illegal toilet constructed by the PWD on her oral request.
Adv. Rodrigues in his letter has stated that the four constables and one head constable posted at her residence of Ms I.K.Jain at her oral request is costing the state exchequer around Rs 80, 000 per month and is illegal as it has not been approved by the Goa Government’s security categorization review committee as required.
Adv. Rodrigues in his letter has further stated that the alleged illegal toilet at the residence of Registrar which has also been built on a mere oral request of Ms I.K.Jain has been served a show cause notice by Corporation of City of Panaji Act for being illegal.
Stating that the flouting of the law by an officer of the High Court is not acceptable, Adv. Rodrigues has requested the Chief Justice to severely deal with the issue since the violation is by a judicial officer.
Calling upon the Chief Justice to order an inquiry and take action against Ms I.K. Jain for her wrong doings, Adv. Rodrigues has stated that it has to be ensured that such violations do not bring disrepute to the judicial system and the judiciary.
