VASCO: The Verna police on Wednesday solved the murder mystery of a 23-year-old woman Sharada Patil who was strangulated to death by an unknown person in October 2010 at Zuari.
The Verna PI, Mr Dalvi disclosed that the deceased woman, Sharada Patil was murdered by an unknown person in her room on October 22, 2010 evening by strangulation when her husband had gone to his native place in Belgaum.
The Verna police had suspected thea involvement of the accused Ajay Choudhary (20), a native of Madhya Pradesh as he had contacted the victim prior to her murder. Also when the police tried to contact him his cell phone was found to be switched off. The accused was working as a mason and had met the victim at Verna IDC four months before her murder.
However, upon getting a tip-off that the accused will come to Verna IDC on Wednesday, the police laid a trap and nabbed him at around 3 p.m. The police disclosed that the accused had confessed to the crime.
The Verna police team led by police inspector, Mr Jivba Dalvi along with the police inspector, Mr Sushant Gawas, police head constable, Mr Razaq Shaikh, lady head constable, Ms Sunita Dalvi and police constables, Mr Prashant Naik and Mr Jayesh Agarwadekar were part of the police team.
Good work none by the Police. But it is time we Goans unite and get rid of these Ghanti criminals that have destroyed Goa.

Next big criminal that has to be caught red-handed will be Jivba Dalvi.
He has accrued wealth beyond his wildest dreams.
He has been pampered by the likes of the builders in Cansaulim and by Mauvin Godinho, to turn a blind eye in their illicit money grabbing constructions and schemes.
These guys like Mauvin,Dalvi are just britulasing Goa.
They are not eco warriors.Instead they are sexologists and moneyologists(if you get the drift).
