STRANGE LAW! PONDA POLICE REGISTER OFFENCE AGAINST DECEASED AUTORICKSHAW DRIVER FOR COLLIDING WITH POLICE JEEP

PONDA: Ponda police on Monday registered an offence against deceased autorickshaw driver Kamu Mahadev Tari, 63, who collided with a police jeep at Paniwada, Borim, on Sunday night.  Ponda PSI Nikhil Palekar said that as Tari had dashed against the police jeep, an offence under Sections 279 (rash and negligent driving) and 304 A (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC were registered against the resident of Karai-Shiroda.
The accident occurred around 8.15pm when the Ponda police team was headed to Shiroda to investigate a rioting case. Palekar said the rickshaw driver dashed against the jeep while attempting to avoid the potholes on the road.
Though rushed to the ID hospital in Ponda, the severely injured Tari was referred to the Goa medical college and hospital, Bambolim, as he had sustained injuries to the head and had fractured a hand.  He died late Sunday night while undergoing treatment at GMC. Tari's body was handed over to his family on Monday afternoon after the autopsy was conducted, the Ponda PSI said.

How can a driver be charged for Homicide if he was trying to avoid a Pot Hole. It does not amount to murder, In this case the PWD minister must be charged for Murder. If not for the pot hole this incident would never have taken place. If the roads are bad the police should have been driving with caution. It is only in Goa this case can be registered against a deceased as he cannot answer for himself. And the police are not prepared to pay compensation for THEIR negligent driving.
The law in Goa is an Indian ASS.

It took longer for the police to book a case of murder against their own. But it did not take long to book a case of murder against a poor Rickshawala. These strange laws take place only in Goa. Poor man create the Pot Hole? The police are hiding from the true fact.

    Hi Anand:
    I fully endorse your comment.
The PWD and its Head man Churchill should be charged for Gross neglience, in not repairing the road.
If Churchill prefers, there could be a charge against him for providing Goa with sub-standard roads, in order to beef up his own Bank Balance in Goa and Dubai, through commissions, and fighting Fund for Big Lips Valanka`s political aspirations.
However I look forward to seeing the "Ethereal Spirit" or GHOSTof the dead man, appear in Court to defend himself.
This is not the monsoon or post monsoon season. So there should not be pot holes on the road.
So whats the excuse from the PWD?

  5. Great Gua Pulis !!!
If the driver of one vehicle dies in a collision with another vehicle, the dead driver is booked?
Would they have followed the same yardstick if the other vehicle was not a police jeep?
Was the jeep stationary? At what speed was the jeep?
What is the maximum speed of a rickshaw? Do they go faster than bikes?
Was it not reckless driving on the part of the jeep driver to drive slow and carefully at nights, specially when the roads are with potholes? And no driver will swerve towards an oncoming vehicle to avoid a pothole. Don't give that bullshit.
Book the jeep driver! Let the Courts decide! Is that not the Law? Or are Gua Pulis above the Law?

Kamu Mahadev Tari has been charged for Murder, who did he murder, if so are the Goan police keeping Quiet about the victim? Kamu is the victim of crime here either the PWD minister or the police must be charged and compensation be paid to Kamu's family. How Will the court summons be sent to Mt Tari? What form of transport will he use to get to court. The Fools are the Corrupt Goan Police.

It is police tactic to divert attention from their criminal behavior, Only in Goa under an Indian Law a dead person can be charged for crime where he can't answer for himself.

  11. Goa Police are no comparison to any other police force int he country. They are NUMBER ONE criminals, number one in taking bribes, number one murderers, number one incompetent, number one drug sellers, number one protectors of the criminals, number one shoe polishers, number one offenders in every angle, number one lazy fellows, number one CHORS, number one liars, number one lickers, number one in every bad thing that is existing. Is there anything that we can commend them for? If the police were not corrupt, Atala would have not gone un-noticed. The crime rate in Goa would have been like that in the Portuguese era except that Karmali is too old now to rob like he did in Portuguese era when he was subjected to jail for petty crimes and came out as a hero as Freedom Fighter.

    Hi Gurudas Lotlikar:
I would like to attend the Court Hearing, where Kamu Mahadev Tari`s Ghost appears ,to be answerable to the Police charges.
What a spectacle this would be.
I wonder how Tari will be dressed. I guess, all in white?!!!!No doubt he wil also have a long white beard.!!!!!
