GOANS TO ELECT MONSTERS OR VAMPIRES by Emediavoices, Goa

Years ago we asked a young Goan chap riding on a rickshaw so much engaged on the Ahuja microphone yelling “vote for me” and we in a puzzled tone politely quizzed him” Are you eligible to vote and whom will you vote? He answered “vote me means “I” or congress I and on his voting age “sorry sir I am not eligible but I am told to vote on an expatriate name”.

Today he will be ape to vote but the strategy of voting is understood. It was dishearten for us to see this young chap, may be in school then and yet brewing with the fragrance of local alcohol. He had no idea of how the same party will shape his future 2 years later as we saw him cleaning the hotel dishes. We asked him on his future a year later now “Saab” he shouted in shame, holding the huge utensil like a mirror uttering harshly “Next year our Goans will poll out “monsters or vampires”. They suck the blood and drink our sweat like leeches.

Why not for donkeys and monkeys we joked to him “Even the monkeys and donkeys strive for their daily bread, has a self respect but not our Goan politicians”. Tell me sirs which politicians are clean? On religion, on caste or you name it. Sorry! All are same and the public of Goa are their slaves. You see any public servant namely the Serpent or Sarpanch is the owner of village and he has the authority to create divisions in the community. The MLA…he is the CEO and he is the Master. They hold the doctorate of engineering, politics, economics, business, drugs, black money you name it as even the President of Republic is at the mercy of his horse trading mobile.

What this once trance Goan man lured by monsters and vampires teaches us is the disunity of Goa has been in and will be in future. Niz Goenkar readers may be probably abroad but the conditions in Goa are alarming day by day. How Goans will be and their location is out of our contents but it’s deeply sad to think of. Goans unlike Keralites voted congress I on religious backgrounds with a soft corner to Sonia, but the politicians has neglected the voters as paupers. Your paper in any public or private sector will not move a millimeter without asking for the “pressure” term from these elected rascals, voted by you only. What is the fun then of the elections or it’s a mockery for those who laid their lives for your state? The Lenin theory states “keep your religious lines at home and not on the streets”. Many will disagree with us but this religion is the cause of many disasters in humanity. We observes this differences in every sector of our lives although none has the heart to speak vividly or languish themselves in caves.

Think Goan before you vote “The politician, sorry the Monsters will be your slave now but for the next 5 years you will have to wash his utensils”. Why don’t you alter the same “you vampires clean our utensils (sorry no underwear’s or panties) for next 5 years at the cost of our 1 vote”. Can you vote for a change?
