BJP BLAMES THE EDUCATION MINISTER FOR THE BLUNDER IN THE MARK LISTS

PANJIM: Stating that the alleged gross mistakes in the mark lists of the students of standard twelfth were serious cases of negligence, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that due to this the admission process for the professional courses would be delayed.
Addressing a press conference, on Saturday afternoon, the BJP state president, Mr Laxmikant Parsekar, told the reporters that Education Minister, Mr Atanasio Monserrate, should own responsibility for the “blunder” and resign from the post or else the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat, should sack him.
Mr Parsekar further said that if the board officials could make mistakes in mere “transferring” of internal assessment marks, which carried 20 marks, than one could wonder how many mistakes might have been committed in assessing main papers, which carried 80 marks.
He further said that 53 of the 63 students from his school had got “wrong” marks. Dealing on the issue of medium of instruction, Mr Parsekar said that a decision by the Congress president Ms Sonia Gandhi would not be acceptable to Goans and that the issue should be discussed and settled in the Goa assembly.
He said that BJP was against grants for English medium primary schools even as he said that 5-6 Congress members were also opposed to the idea of giving grants to English primary schools.
He further said that the Education Minister had promised to solve the problem locally in the last assembly session, but the issue had been taken to Centre. The BJP state president decried the decision of the education department for issuing circular to the schools to implement Section 16 of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education to children between six and 14 years and promote all students in various classes up to eighth standard, saying how could the students be promoted without proper guidelines.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch has decried the rumours being spread by some vested interest in the Congress party that the Union HRD Minister, Mr Kapil Sibal, had agreed to give grants to primary schools run by Diocesan Society of Education for teaching in English medium.
In a press note issue here, the BBSM has condemned the government for pussyfooting on such an important issue.  The BBSM has warned the government to desist from changing the medium of instruction policy and refrain from squandering tax payers’ money by giving grants to English medium primary schools.

  1. You have to study hard in order to come up in
life, be recognized /known in your society, get a good job etc. etc. but I always
wonder why our election commission has not put minimum qualification criteria
for the politicians or in order to enter politics.

Can you imagine a person such as Monserrato,
who has not completed even his 10th, is our bloody education
minister, what a BLOODY INSULT to the education system !!! and all the well
    qualified people of Goa.

To travel abroad, in order to work you need a
Police Clearance but for Politicians to travel wherever they wish (look at
Mickey, Churchill…ALL OF THEM), it’s ok

Every company has a SET retirement age, but for
    Politicians there’ no limit,

To get a good job, you need to be well
qualified, but for Politicians nothing is required.

You need to pay tax, if you don’t then it’s
illegal, but everyone knows it goes into our politicians pocket, so what is
wrong if you evade tax? When you know you’ve  worked hard for it.

How all this works is beyond my understanding
!!! and how our people so damn senseless !!! … it kills me !!!
