Rohit Monserrate |
Rohit, elder son of Monserratte, is chargesheeted for raping a German minor girl in Goa in 2008. The victim's mother, who had initially pursued the case vigorously, has now said that she is not interested in deposing before Goa Children's Court which is trying the case.
Public Prosecutor Poonam Bharne today told the court that the state government was making efforts to get the statement of the victim and her mother through the German consulate.
The duo can testify through video conferencing, she said and sought three weeks time to get the deposition, which was granted by the judge.Trial in the case has been adjourned till October 8. (PTI)
JUST AN EYE WASH!! If Goa Government was really interested, then they should apologise to the German Consulate first for manipulating and harassing the mother. Second, they should sack the police involved in the harassment and trying to compromise with the German mother. And thirdly, investigate into who used to give threatening calls to the mother and arrest them. Don't Bull Sh**! Not all Goans are FOOLS. Your tactic vocabulary has run out!
ReplyDeleteOne cannot blame the mother of the Victim, at the pace the case is going on and the involvement of ministers son in the case. There is no way Justice will be served in this case. Contacting the German Consulate is just a smoke screen, to show the world that the Goan Government cares. Why has it taken this long? How can this Government promote tourism when we have their members and siblings, and some of the law enforcers committing these crimes including drug dealing?
ReplyDeleteRules and regulations are for those who do not have god fathers sitting in the ruling family. If you have god fathers and money power everything is possible. It is like chasing the shadow, and ultimately the shadow disappears and everything goes in the back yard forgotten what had happened.
ReplyDeleteContact the German Consulate for what? It's a shame for us. This shows our incompetence.
ReplyDeleteNow this is another tactic for a few to travel to Germany for fun in the name of recording statements. What will they do? A normal procedure to close the case. Just arrived from Canada the Tourism director in the name of tourism, what tourism? It is just to spend the Goan exchequer. Hell with Gua Government and the annadi ministers. Shame on Gua Police, when the victims were right under their nose, they only harrased them. When the mickey mouse was absconding for one month, the Gua police were hiding too.
ReplyDeleteIf one look at the photograph of the Monsters son, it gives the picture of a real rowdy. You can see this little rowdy moving in posh cars in our locality with other dark tinted vehicles following him. Whose money are they enjoying? The money from the sale of our land by different illegal ways. And there are people to support these thieves because they think these scoundrels are too powerful to tackle. God lay it's traps we don't see and it will trap these scoundrels for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is the sad reality in Goa. It's a disgrace that we have these rogue politcians and their filthy progeny destroying Goa and the fair name of Goans worldwide.
ReplyDeleteEverything is covered up the sins of their fathers and that of their children of all these rogue politicans. They then want to hoist their rotten legacy so that they can continue to loot in the footsteps of their parents!
The fair name of the Monserrates who adopted that trash has been sullied by this Atansio and his breed. After having harrassed those generous foster parents all their lives they still do not have peace in death to see their family names being tarnished by the likes of the Atanasio's and Rohits masquerading as Monserrates.
Shame on this filth!
Do they know the meaning of disgrace? Whatever they do is Grace for them.
ReplyDeleteLike we say "Grace Before Meals", they say their "Grace Before Looting". The best part is, they succeed.
ReplyDeleteAnd the worst part is they do not have grace to enjoy it like the common man. They eat curses for lunch, dinner and breakfast.
