The Goa government has been unable to take a firm stand on any issue. Whether on the River Princess, the High Security Number Plates, SEZ’s, the new Mapusa Hospital and now on the Casinos. The administration lacks any direction or commitment.
It is a travesty that this government and its legal brains do not understand the meaning of off shore. The decision to shift three Casinos towards Ribandar is uncalled for. It will disturb the local fishermen besides being a nuisance we can do without. Mr. Chief Minister, while Ribandar has been asking for a football ground you are sending us three casinos to play on. The Casino issue will end up with the formation of yet another government committee to study the issue. This is how this government has shelved and gambled from taking a decision on every issue it is confronted with.

I agree with Adv. Aires Rodrigues we require football ground and not the casinos. one more thing I hear that the German girl-Babush son case was dropped down by one advocate at the last moment to fights against Babush son. the case was going in different direction now as a whooping sum of 2 crore was paid by Babush to some one. Who recived this money the mother or someone else or are these just rumours. We goans want to know this and what is happening with this case? Can someone shed a light on this about the money.. Is Babush really paid money to someone or the mother?
ReplyDeleteFor the politicians the casinos are more important Aires. You should know this very well, so just don't force them to build ground. Their daily bread are the casinos run by DIG-GOBOR COWMUTH.
ReplyDeleteAires Rodrigues, remember that nearly all the 40 Goa MLA`s have a stake in Casinos.Over half of them play or entertain their clients there. Some of them even claim God and the people are with them.I am quite sure a lot of the Drug barns hang around there too. There is no money to make in Football grounds unless illegal bullfights /gambling take place.Casinos`and the environments around them are also hotbeds for "PIMPS",Prostitution"& Drug Mafias`.This is how some gamblers discharge their winnings & andrenalin or lament their losses..To service these gamblers,Taxi`s will need to ply their trade all through the night.Goa Ministers only wish to serve a few, not the many.I hope the locals in Ribandar kick these Minister where it hurts the most......in their nuts.I wish the locals all the luck in getting a Football Ground that will serve everyone and improve the village and neighbourhoods too.
ReplyDeleteFully agree with Adv. Aires. The prime thought of the politicians are Casino where the filthy rich dump their illgotten wealth. If the Goa government can make Casinos legal, why not matka? It is one of the gambling played by the majority of Goans with their hard earned sweat. I am not trying to patronize any sort of gambling but why this double standards The government gets kickbacks from these casino operators and so from matka bookies the the later amount is too small. Goa need a lot more than football stadiums, the present stadiums are in such a bad state as they are not maintained to the lowest standards.
ReplyDeleteExactly my sentiments Saturnino. Why make only rich men's game (casinos) legal? Make the matka legal and at least the poor people will have some pastime too and little income too, if not crores. All these are double standards by our double faced politicians.
ReplyDeleteAs an ex sportsman and a lover of Goan Football I too agree that we need more football grounds in Goa than Gambling houses. These gambling houses are frequented by only a few, they are whore mongers state crooks and drug dealers but no innocent good Goans visit them. Compared to Casinos sports grounds are more suitable.
ReplyDeleteAgree...Absolutly 100%! This whole tourism is destroying Goa. Please listen people of Goa. Now they want to increase domestic tourism with State of Gujarate. These Gujaraties are going to be coming for our land next! Please don't cry afterwards. Nobody wants to listen when I keep saying this over and over. Everyone wants to make that little easy money in Goa from Tourism. There is no easy money. There is a price to pay for easy money. The price is Goa. We are going to loose our Goa. People in Goa please stop this domestic tourism!!!!...Some Desai has signed some MOU with all other states in India to increase this domestic tourism. We already have some Abu Sheik working with Chorchill to build a big Mega Housing Project and going to destroy Carmona. Please believe me it will happen again and again. I hate when people start crying afterwards, when they don’t listen in the first place. I know people need money so some tourism is okay, like from Europe as at least almost all European tourists will leave but the north Indians especially these Gujaraties!!!!…people in England know what I am taking about, please speak up…..these gujjies are looking for less populated land, they are coming for our land. They play very dirty, we will not be able to keep up with them and we will lose. Please tell the tourism dept to stop all domestic tourism and tourism from Russia! I beg you! I don’t to hear people crying afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Trevor on this issue of Guajarati's, they are like lynches that can drain every drop of blood from one's body. Because of these Guajarati, Asians were the victims of Uganda. Goans need to stand up now to salvage what is untouched by these corrupt politicians.
